Ahh, what a bunch of teases Yamato are. All this time I thought they were releasing the Alaska base variant in assembled form.
-
Fire bomber in 1/60 would be awesome! For some reason, I feel like they are dropping a hint with those figures. The fact they are finally releasing the 19-P is a pleasant surprise, I have not seen anything on it since last year or so(time flies I may be off), when we saw the resin prototype in gray. I hope by next year we have Mylene's VF-11 MAXL and Ray & Veffidas VF-17T. I am glad they are also showing the Alaska base scheme also, hope it releases soon.

Looks great, I think fighter mode is how I will keep it on display. I never noticed the periwinkle? stripes that this bird has.

It could happen if Bandai decides to release the wing men that Alto had in his squad while flying the 171. Just not sure if they are willing to gamble on non hero or main cast valks. All they would have to do is change the head a little and the color scheme.

Personally, I like the VF-84 Jolly Rogers myself, but I thought they were deactivated.. I just threw one out there as an example. I have a feeling that the option parts will come with any of the 30th anniversary releases. I hope Yamato does not stop adding the parts once the year is over.
-
The squadron name I would assume. SFV-26 Cavaliers, kinda like the VF-103 Jolly Rogers.
-
Arghhh, I think HLJ may have f*cked up my orders. I had pre ordered the DYRL? VF-1A CF version and the VF-1A Cavaliers. The DYRL? VF-1A is showing out of stock and the VF-1A Cavaliers shows as in stock, but I have yet to be billed. I have the paypal merchant agreement setup so they should have billed me instantly. I had them selected to go to the private warehouse so they would ship together...... Sent an e-mail to check on them, hope they did not screw me.
-
Looks great can't wait for mine. Are you 100% sure there are no option parts? When I got my VF-1J they were under the tray, although It's not that big a deal if they have em or not. Would be nice though.
-
Hell yeah, I was thinking to get a second one because the color is scheme is so bad ass. I hope they make a 1J variant also.
-
Is it just me, or does the head position look wrong? It looks like it is floating on the back pack section and misaligned from the body. I hope they just mis transformed it and forgot to slide the head forward. I really want this for fighter mode though, more than anything.

Look closely, there are panels on the shin... looks like they flip up to reveal the landing gears.

One word, Impressive! Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the finished build up.

They would most likely have to remold the VF-0 to allow reactive armor, but if they released that I would buy it on day 1. I would also go nuts for a VF-0D in the blue/white Shin scheme. Those releases would round out the set, but then I would most likely have to replace all my old releases to match this new mold if they ever revisited. I highly doubt they will do it though as Macross Zero has low popularity in Japan. And man all the people that don't like the Mac7 valks..... you really don't know what you are missing. I think Yamato has taken it to another level with the Mac7 releases.
-
Yeah Jason, I agree that they should sell them separately. I did want a bunch of the >EXO< sets, but unfortunately I did not get any of them as I was too late.I also would not consider my myself a painter by any means, so I think they would not look as good if I were to paint them. I don't care for the seats as much as I thought I would. I think they are awesome on the VF-1D, but find I don't really need them for all the VF-1's. I primarily want the neck and side covers in the right colors. Plus I like the way Yamato has the pegs that secure the covers using the swing bar locks. The only reason I missed out on >EXO<'s was because I spent too much at the time on valks.

Thanks for the larger pic, can't wait for my set I have not transformed mine yet, but I will think about this when I get there.

Hrmm, Bariaburu Faita said they are pre assembled. One thing that also bothers me about these is that the screws should have been hidden a little better. The one the goes through the intake cover really bothers me, it seems the intake cover could have covered where the screw is placed.

¥18,000 seems a bit expensive, I do understand they are limited and in low numbers, but we are in the high end toy range with this price. Are these final product pics? or the prototypes?
-
Ha! now it dawns on me that I had this argument in the past. Yes they did make a CF VF-27, but it was marketed as a Grace variant. It seemed to me the only reason they made it was because Grace was attached to the color scheme. So I wonder if they will treat the 171 in the same manner, make a Luca version with ray dome and forget about the variants that don't have a supporting cast member associated with it. Only time will tell.....

Are we sure they will make a teal version? I will buy 2 more if that does happen. I just wonder if Bandai will gamble on CF schemes. Where there any CF schemes in the V1 toy line?

That would be cool, because with the bandai's I am paranoid about the paint chipping.
