  1. Hope this leads to more projects! All in 1/60 of course! Some suggestions for future "add-on" style projects..... VEFR-1 SDP-1 APS-11 Armor
  2. This can't be a good sign for future Macross subtitled releases... ...where's the avatar from? Looks like a VF-4?
  3. And I'm still in....and probably opt for the fully finished set if offered...thanks! BTW...for me...the more toy-like it would look the better....don't care for all the panel lining and weathering....would want my set to look like I just unboxed it straight from Arcadia and ready to install onto a 1/60 v2 VF-1J Hikaru-type...
  4. I'd be in for one if you can make it look this good...
  5. When you say you have more yamato valks...do you mean TV or DYRL? TV are white...so unless Arcadia wants to be ironic and release future TV VF-1's in "off-white"...then you have no need to get the Arcadia TV versions if they are re-released unless you want the extras like option parts and potential bits like a baby pod on a future VF-1J Milia release... The only real concern is if you are half way on your DYRL collection....honestly, the bright white was a cool idea, but they should have referred to them as "anime style"....if they do eventually re-release the rest of Skull Squadron...they will be bright white...however, since they were not released immediately after the Roy and Hikaru VF-1S's....I have a feeling that the "bright white" in any upcoming batch will not match that of the "pinkish" VF-1S's they recently released.....In short, go for the Yamato's...complete the set.....buy some recast option parts....sleep soundly....
  6. Arcadia makes bright white DYRL valks?...thought they were off-pink? Only VF-1's I need from Arcadia are the few missing tv variants....are there any canon DYRL variants missing...other than repaints/squadron colors?
  7. Perhaps in an attempt to completely disintegrate Vader's helmet and outfit into ashes....Luke lost control of the raging funeral pyre and burned down the Ewok village and half of Endor's sacred forests......enraged, the Ewoks took arms against the "vile deceivers" and routed them out of Endor.....forbidding them from ever returning and vowing an eternal jihad against the rebels and their Jedi leader.....the Imperials took advantage of this and knowing of the "great fighting prowess" of the Ewok people...formed an elite anti-rebel unit code named "Furry Death".....the war has raged on for 30+ bloody years...cut to the opening title crawl...Episode VII......
  8. Maybe you could be the first on MW to put it together....would love to see a step by step of this build...like others have done for regular kits...
  9. But this is a genie building your valk...not some silly toy company like Bandai or Arcadia....your valk will come with anime magic as standard equipment!!!
  10. heheh......sometimes logic gets caught in the crossfire of a South Ataria urban street battle style bidding war!
  11. What tools do you recommend? Is there a build service possible?
  12. Yamato 1/60 V2 VT-1 Super Ostrich - used - 25,596 JPY (plus proxy fees and shipping) http://page14.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s392137184 Yamato 1/60 V2 VT-1 Super Ostrich - MIB- 25,510 JPY (plus proxy fees and shipping) http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f136915468
  13. A couple of more dojin from Romancer....
  14. the pilot figures are looking good....so far my favorite pilot figurine is the one that came with the first 1/48 VF-1A low-viz...followed by the original Macross Zero pilot figures....
  15. Clearly you must be seeing things......
  16. Perhaps several were bought out of pure speculation. Since VF-4G type returns did not materialize quickly like they did for the Lighting....people have started to unload them....
  17. My first exposure to the DYRL film was via the 2 volume film comics and the This is Animation #11 DYRL book....I remember liking the designs, etc....but still preferring the "look" of the TV show......still do to this day....I think I watched the movie in '85 or '86 at an anime club near Chicago.....Greater Chicago Megazone Anime Club I think it was called....the late 80's was a fun time......and I've been hooked on Macross since!..... In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Summer of Macross.....here are some original DYRL movie theatre memorabilia from the original 1984 release: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40307 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=37110
  18. I think it is probably unfair to judge Arcadia on the YF-19.....sure, it was more or less talked up as the rebirth of the Perfect Transformation Macross valk.....but many felt it just missed greatness.....the fact is the YF-19 was Arcadia's quasi first attempt at bringing a new PT onto the market...... I'm pretty sure Arcadia sold out of all of their YF-19's due to it being the first "new" release...but it clearly did not correlate to 100% customer satisfaction.... They need to hit it out of the park with the VF-0D.....I wonder how many of those willingly returning/trading their used YF-19's will jump in so eagerly into a VF-0D? That is what is worrisome.....
