  2. Nice Macross Episode 2 "Countdown" pose!
  3. It's always fun re-discovering stuff you forgot you had!
  4. Whatever you do, do not allow your friends or family to crouch down and focus their gaze on this defect....what an eyesore! I honestly do not think anyone would hold it against you if you just decided to toss it all in the trash and set it ablaze!
  5. Guessing after years of not having any other chances to inflict his "revenge" on the Jedi....since being taken away during the purge.....seeing Luke flailing around with the weapon of a Jedi "triggered" him?
  6. Well, from a certain point of view..... Luke is completely responsible for what happened to Boba and everyone else on Jabba's barge that day.....if he had not shown up things would have turned out much differently....without Luke, it was just up to Leia, R2, C3-PO (well, he was onsite) and Lando to free Han and Chewie.....and at that moment Leia was in chains and Lando completely outgunned on the skiff....seriously, the entire Han rescue plan revolved on Luke pulling off a win.... It's kind of like thinking if Luke had not shown up at the end of The Mandalorian Season 2 things would have ended in triumph for Din and Co.....not likely and it definitely did not look like it would have ended in success if Luke had not arrived just in time....
  7. Since we are speculating..... I assume that Boba knows what Din's mission was in terms of Grogu....so does that mean Boba has had the time to reflect on his life while being digested by the Sarlacc....or did his escape happen rather quickly after the events we saw in ROTJ? If he got out quickly, then I do not see how revenge would not be part of his endgame....after all, a (the) Jedi decapitated his father and a (the) Jedi had a hand in his "demise" at the Sarlacc pit....he does seems to have a "personal code" he lives by and he seems to live up to his "word"...but that "word" he gave to Din to help him deliver Grogu to "his people" has now been met and is over....who knows, maybe the Jedi screwing him across his lifetime is now just "water under the bridge" to him....but I hope not, to me he does not seem to be a character that lets bygones be bygones...or at minimum that whole history between him and the Jedi needs to at least be reconciled somehow on screen, preferably at some point in his upcoming show and not on some friggin' book or comic!
  8. In case 32K is tempting for you at AE....try here instead.....at least the shipping should be less.... https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Chogokin-Dimension-Fortress-Macross-Valkyrie/dp/B08C3GRZ4P/ref=pd_sbs_21_2/358-5259903-7548503?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B08C3GRZ4P&pd_rd_r=db3bcf25-6802-4bac-9f54-4c0a8c92e994&pd_rd_w=6gjnW&pd_rd_wg=DV7d6&pf_rd_p=c295905f-82f9-4d73-8142-c393a4211258&pf_rd_r=GZ6DXC0W8TPT0XHN4XX1&psc=1&refRID=GZ6DXC0W8TPT0XHN4XX1
  9. OK....had a hunch and I was right! Try Episode 8..."Longest Birthday"....21:13 mark.... Funny, I also found out that I also have at least one cel from the same episode! I always thought it would be cool to pool MW collectors' cels and see if we could "re-tell" the story with as many cels from each episode that we collectively own...
  10. Well....you can start by skipping episodes 1-5
  11. No rush....but if you have the time I would like to take a crack at the VF-1J "half-schematic" pic...not sure how good it would look if I combined the DX -1J with the "schematic" side shown on that IMAI box.....what I do know is that you would be able to nail the pose using the DX!
  12. In all fairness, I think collectors "poo-pooed" Bandai when they screwed-up on the DX-VF-171 CF.....the difference is that Bandai has been at this for years and have managed to earned their "street cred" so I think they get a "pass" much more easily than say a new vendor like KC.....for the most part, you have an expectation on the amount of quality you "should" expect from a Bandai product.... KC has just been at it for a few years....it will take a while and several "issue-free" releases to finally earn any "street cred" and the reduction of "poo-poos" on new releases..... When Bandai screws up....it is "why did you screw up?".... When a new company like KC screws up....it is "What did you expect?" ....sadly (and unjustified?) the disdain is also exacerbated far worse due to the HG association....personally, if the product is decent and looks good to me, I do not care who makes or licenses the item....
  13. Tough crowd...

  15. Even if "domestic shipping" was not free....it wouldn't affect the BIN price that much.....it's the current international shipping fees that are making these "deals"....not much of a deal...which is why the market pricing for the VF-1S Focker has more or less "peaked"......let's see what happens once Covid19 is more or less made irrelevant to shipping operations
  16. I think KC with their VF-1 may have initially wanted to fill in a niche between what collectors may have seen as "too small" HMR's and "too expensive" everything else....this is why I said that the biggest casualty to sales will occur when the quality ramps up and so does the price.....at that point, the benefits of having a KC over an Arcadia or Bandai DX (at least those with the space to display it) start to diminish.....personally, I think the HMR is more of a reason to go with a larger 1/72 VF-1....additionally (at least in theory) the 1/72 tries to emulate the benefits of the DX at a lower price point (fully loaded)....unfortunately, from my experience, it has not executed that well...yet If KC would have been a bit less ambitious, their V2.0 VF-1 would have inched closer to Arcadia functionality/quality and would have bested the HMR...I think KC should have perfected it's gimmicks, sculpt/looks and more importantly "fit and quality" before charging into trying to be a mini-DX....still, I applaud them for the effort and their unmatched customer service at least gives you a sense of security that you will not be stuck with a broken toy To be totally honest, if someone actually made a "perfect" DX-like toy....I would prefer it at 1/60 scale...not 1/100, 1/48 or 1/72.....but that's just me.... Bandai, how many more DX VF-1's will you actually make us jump through hoops for on PO nights before you actually give your customers what they really wanted.....a next gen VF-1 in scale with the rest of their amassed collection of VFs.....
  17. Yes, however, they are completely in Japanese....which would require you to use a proxy....which would translate into more money to buy it.... The link I provided should work...it is a link to the "English" listing of the doujin......if you get stuck at any point in the process you can always "right-click" and select to translate the ordering page....assuming you are using Google Chrome as your browser....You need to have created a Mandarake account first before ordering...
  18. Nice Imai Boxart pose!
  19. I think the V 2.0 of the KC VF-1 is pretty close to being a DX in "functionality" at 1/72 scale....the problem is that they are still not there in terms of quality...I think that they may get there, but the casualty will likely be a steady increase in price to a point where some collectors may ask themselves if having it is worthwhile.....to me, the fact that KC's customer service has your back after your purchase is enough to feel that you essentially have sort of a "guarantee" that they will try to make your purchase "whole" again with replacement parts, etc., so I can feel some relief in not having to worry that I will get stuck with a busted toy....the other thing that is exciting about the line is the possibility that it may expand to also include "in-scale" destroids and enemy mecha.....although I sort of feel that a 1/72 Destroid Monster would be a longshot...but the potential for Regults, N-Gers, and Q-Raus may be possible. At any rate, right now I think I am still in for the remainder of the teased VF-1s and possibly a VF-1D, which is the only VF-1 I have not seen teased by KC....
  20. As longs as you are just interested in "practice" since Macross The First never got completed....
  21. I suppose my genga are "original pictures"
  22. More English in Macross is always a good thing!
  23. Maybe the Macross the First books?
