  1. Yes, I know what they are.....I suppose I was being too subtle....did you actually read the name of the thread?
  2. Not yet, but I will..... As for Lovecraft Country....it started out well enough, but it lost its way.....by the end it was another JJ linked fail
  3. Yes and Yes....basically just like the Strike VF-1S Hi-Metal...all 1st releases of the Bandai VF-1A Hi-Metal are, at minimum, using the Takatoku branded "parts"...unfortunately, there is no official info on when Bandai switched to using their Bandai-branded parts...I am guessing it happened upon the release of the VE-1 and VT-1, they probably then re-released another batch of the VF-1S and VF-1A with the Bandai-branded parts....
  4. I should have known by the lack of posts in this thread that this show was going to end up another Bad Robot dumpster fire....and it certainly did not fail at that... Luckily, I binged it (hoping it would get better....but I should have known better) for free with the HBO Max free week trial.... The series started out well enough, but soon lost its way....by the end, it had no idea what kind of show it wanted to be.....don't waste your time with this I don't think there has been any HP Lovecraft inspired work I ever liked.....like Stephen King's work....most of it fails to translate into film, well, maybe the reboot of IT, but that's about it (pun intended)....
  5. I guess they look like LPs?
  6. Fixed!
  7. Here are recent sales for both.....find the appropriate listings for maybe 1-2 months worth of sales....then average them out.....add $20 bucks for proxy and local shipping fees....then add international shipping fee (35-60 USD?)....that should give you an idea of what it would cost someone to buy the items straight from Japan......then you can price yours accordingly....I would say since they are technically not MISB.....buyers are going to expect to pay a little less for them...maybe 10-15%? Final price is ultimately based on what you and your buyer agree to.... https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsearch/closedsearch?auccat=&tab_ex=commerce&ei=utf-8&aq=-1&oq=&sc_i=&exflg=&p=VF-0D+1%2F60&x=0&y=0 https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsearch/closedsearch?va=VF-4+1%2F60&b=1&n=100&auccat=&tab_ex=commerce&ei=utf-8&aq=-1&oq=&sc_i=&exflg=&p=VF-4G+1%2F60&x=24&y=24
  8. Oh....one thing that I found to be awful in WW84 was the lack of use of her theme music....and when they finally did use it, it was some different take on it that just did nothing for the scenes...liek the movie, the WW theme was just a lackluster version of the original......I also found Wonder Women to be boring without Batman and Superman....which was the complete opposite for her appearance in BvS where she brought the excitement with her.... Maybe now that she is free of her "loss".....she can become the character we saw in the first WW and during her appearance in BvS.....the 80's and every decade since the end of WWI have apparently been a real downer for Diana....
  9. My review...meh We watched 2 movies on Christmas....Soul and WW84 I was fine with paying the D+ subscription fee to watch Disney Pixar's Soul.... I was glad I did not pay a cent to watch WW84 on HBO Max.... Unrelated to either of these 2 films....HBO Max has all (?) of the Studio Ghibli Films and have been catching up on them....none I have watched so far are better than the ones I had previously seen, which were Nausicaa, Laputa, and Howl's Moving Castle.........had never seen My Neighbor Totoro before, but I found it slow and boring....and I can barely get myself to continue watching Princess Mononoke.....if I did not have the HBO Max free trial I would probably just give up on the rest....may end up doing that and watch the Lovecraft Country instead...
  10. I could not find a topic for this....it is on Disney+ and is is a great film! Go watch it!
  11. Better late than never!
  12. I'm glad Bandai is going TV version first on the GBP! Hope they get the missile tip colors right.... Maybe they will use the other "blue" as a DYRL version...
  13. https://sp.tamashii.jp/item_character/macross_series/ Still available at 6 per order! Anyone remember what the limit was for the Roy VF-1S?
  14. https://www.ebay.com/itm/DX-Chogokin-VF-1D-Valkyrie-Fan-Racer-Japan-version/224292193190?hash=item3438db43a6:g:0RsAAOSwtllf5SrH https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dx-Chogokin-Macross-Vf-1D-Valkyrie-Fan-Racer-July-Presale-Message-For-10-Off/154259974200?hash=item23ea9c6838:g:nZsAAOSwW8Vf5EO2
  15. At a SIX PER ORDER LIMIT ...I am hoping that the price doesn't go through the stratosphere when it finally gets close to release day....the latest DX VF-1S has somewhat kept from getting too crazy and there were a handful of decent deals immediately after release.....but who really knows
  16. Seems we have officially reached peak insanity when a web exclusive, an item that technically is "made to order", sells out before the official PO date....lol Pretty sure you can still buy it directly from the Tamashii website....if you are in Japan!
  17. Looking more closely at the pics in the auction....it seems that the 2 "pins" behind the intake that fit into the lower leg are made of plastic....not metal...it's cool that it allows for the dynamic poses, but personally, it is not worth using it too often...at minimum, I would suggest to not leave your DX or KC posed long-term with this joint engaged and on a stand where the lower leg/s are being supported by this joint.... It looks like both the intake part and the lower leg could be glued back together, however, much like my 1/72 KC VF-1J, that "DX" joint that allows the leg to extend outward will no longer be usable....the design/engineering is different to what KC uses on the 1/72, but accomplishes the same articulation....the really important difference is in the post-sale support!
  18. Yeah...it is kind of odd, but looking into the material used for that joint, speaking only in regards to the KC, it makes sense that it could be easily stressed with the weight AND if left with the joint extended...in this scenario, the entire leg is just held in place by the small plastic ring shown in my pics.... As for the DX with the same break point....someone said that joint is made of metal diecast, so it should be more durable...but who knows, can't really tell much about the break from the pics posted on the ebay listing
  19. Interesting coincidence...this DX VF-1 listed on eBay seems to have broke in the same spot/joint as my KC 1/72 VF-1J.....be careful out there fellow collectors! https://www.ebay.com/itm/BROKEN-Bandai-DX-Chogokin-VF-1S-Valkyrie-Ichijyo-Hikaru-MACROSS-US-SELLER/293916710434?hash=item446ecd1622:g:NI8AAOSwDPtf3C8X
  20. oh boy..... Number of orders accepted 6 pieces per person
  21. That's fine...I just want them to fit on a DX VT-1! You can do it Bandai!
