  1. I asked KitzConcept if the videos recently posted are showing improvements over the V2.0 VF-1J release and they said they do. So I guess the next batch of 1/72 VF-1's will be V2.5......guess it'll be a while before I can get a hold of mine as I am opting to hold off on shipping. My biggest issues are the connection points when in gerwalk...the video really doesn't show an improvement as far as I can tell. The other thing I do not like is how they are painting the cockpits....they have that goofy chrome look to them
  2. Nice...PO'd! Will get the Bandai DX version too....if Bandai ever gets around to it....
  3. Thanks for posting the head's up....PO'd VF-1S Roy V2.0 and Max VF-1A....
  4. yes.....one is a "Rick Hunter" VF-1S 2.0....the second is a new release of the VF-1S Roy as a v 2.0.....I remember asking them about it at the time the VF-1J was released and being told they had no plans....but based on their email message, I guess enough customers wanted a "better" VF-1S Roy than the floppy V 1.0
  5. Looks the same to me as the recently released VF-1J...still seems to have the gap issues with the connection of the intakes when in Gerwalk mode....no "shake" test performed when he had it in that mode....
  6. Wait...you didn't watch Solo? Han personally kickstarted the Rebellion with a huge infusion of cash money! He was a selfless do-gooder!....
  7. Finally saw this on D+.....was somewhat entertaining...I can understand why they had no interest in intervening with the events of the overall MCU, thus far, as they had their own agenda and, as non-living beings, I can see how their "programming" would have has made it difficult for them to have gone against their mandate for millenia....but I guess that finally changed for them...
  8. Nice....wonder if they will be "exclusives" Definitely will get both to complete Vermillion Squadron
  9. "Vinegar Syndrome" basically means the celluloid (the clear sheet the art is painted on) is "decomposing" due to poor storage conditions. During this process, acidic vapors are produced which smell like vinegar. It is these vapors, containing the acid, that then "infect" other cels, which is why once "vinegar syndrone" has started on one cel, it needs to be kept away from other cels so they do not become "infected" and irreversibly damaged. Once a cel is infected, it cannot be cured/repaired. All you can do is slow the process of decomposition by moving the cel into better storage conditions and away from other "healthy" cels.
  10. Are the "wookie" scalps/braids/scalps that used to adorn Boba Fett's outfit no longer "PC" in the Disney Star Wars universe? They are mysteriously missing. Unless the Sarlacc's digestive acids disintegrated them along with Boba's hair? Yeah...this show is delivering some visually great fan service, but so far it is not really adding much to the overall Mando-verse Disney seems to be building up...if it will amount to just fan service...they may as well toss in the live action Bad Batch team before the season is over...and his "sister"..... It's a shame all of this just leads up to depressed Luke and Force Dyads!
  11. Well, heard the rumors about the de-aged Han Solo...surely they could also easily bring back another much more famous guy in a monkey suit? I don't see how this could end well for someone like Boba Fett.... Also, did the Tuskens spare Boba due to their experience with Mando? Seems Mando had a relationship with the Tuskens well before Boba did
  12. Pretty sure I have some stand-alone Macross chopsticks hid away in the archives
  13. After being blown off by Fett, the real Milton would have burned down Jabba's Palace and then proceeded to sip some Margaritas at Chalmun's Cantina.....no salt, of course!
  14. Yep, glad I finally secured a copy...
  15. I have not had a chance to try and pin-point the episode/sequence...but to me it looks like he is in a N-Ger rather than a Glaug
  16. I asked KC and the new VF-1S Roy 2.0 will have a redesigned head sculpt...so looking forward to seeing the new pics....not sure if both the VF-1S Roy and Hikaru have any additional tweaks to the 2.0 mold...definitely will be replacing my floppy VF-1S 1.0
  17. Anyone else receive the email from KC regarding the shipment for the VF-1S Roy V 2.0 and the VF-1S Rick V 2.0? In the email they say mention airmail to the US and a select other countries has been suspended, leaving only surface mail as an option. Dear Customer, The first batch of our 1/72 VF-1S is expected to be available before Chinese New Year Holidays. Initially, we are going to have the Rick version only. We received many feedbacks requesting to have Roy version instead. So, we decided to produce a smaller quantity of 1-S Roy after 1-S Rick. However, our factory has made a mistake which may be a good news to you. They mixed up the quantity and the sequence and now, VF-1S Roy is in production and the Rick Version will be in Feb after CNY holidays. Please let us know whether you will change your order to 1S Roy. We would like to arrange for the collection of the balance too. Before we send the invoice, please double check your delivery information. It will be very kind of you if you can repeat it in your reply. Lastly, for the shipments to Australia, Canada, Mexico and USA, our Post Office has suspended all airmail services, including Speedpost to these countries from 1 Jan 2022. The only alternative is by Surface Mail which we don't recommend as it takes more than 4 months for delivery. We will wait and send out the parcel immediately when the services are resumed. Look forward to your reply. Regards, Kitzconcept Ltd
  18. Macross 25th Anniversary Memorial DVD boxset - Booklet I have been chasing this booklet for years, but have never been able to get myself to pull the trigger on it. The problem was that the only way to get one was to buy the DVD boxset, which (even after the release of the Bluray set) still commands a hefty premium. I do not usually collect the "official" releases, namely because of the lack of English subs...but in this case, I already had the bootleg Bluray set inside a legit Macross Bluray boxset that came up at auction minus the disks. So it made buying the DVD boxset an even harder pill to swallow. Anyway...flash-forward to the final days of 2021 and at long last....a Memorial DVD boxset set came up that was at the price point I was willing to spend for acquiring the booklet alone. The long game finally paid off and I now have this booklet in-hand. Although I do not usually collect the Macross video releases, I do collect the special books, posters and other "collector's items" that usually are often included as bonus items on the video releases . These are some of the most difficult items to attain for obvious reasons. In my opinion, the booklet included in the DVD memorial boxset is in the top 10 of all Macross publications ever made. It is a visual tour of "all things" Macross. The booklet starts with a synopsis of each episode of the SDFM TV series, interviews, character and mecha lineart, plus illustrations used on the model kit boxart from the legendary Yoshiyuki Takani . But the most interesting part to me was the inclusion of several pages of SDFM era merchandising. Included are several pages ranging from posters to books, toys and games, and everything in between. I have been collecting Macross for decades now, but even I was surprised by some of the rarities presented in this booklet's merchandise section. I have always wanted an all-encompassing Macross book that covered all of the various types of Macross merchandise from the original SDFM TV series. This booklet is as close to what I would envision such a book looking like. Only much larger and certainly more definitive. For now, it'll have to do.
  19. SDFM Era spoon, fork and chopstick set...with carry case!
  20. I have a set of utensils too....thought I had posted a pic but can't find it at the moment....
