  1. Well.....at least we now only have Big West to blame for these cluster fukks.....and any NON-SDFM/DYRL clusters undoubtedly yet to come.....
  2. Maybe that's the NON-WWM BW logo....
  3. Glad I am not the only one.... I guess a "World-Wide" Macross toy release just means Japanese retailers can ship it to any buyer in the world without fear of getting harrassed by HG....still....I would hope this HG/BW agreement eventually means we can order Macross merch via local retailers at some point....otherwise, I don't see what will have changed since the biggest issue is the expense of shipping these items from Japan....oh well, assume the position for a bit longer I suppose....
  4. So close to a hundred dollars for it? I may have just been convinced to sell mine...LOL
  5. TBH...it'd be foolish for Bandai not to proceed with their DX YF-21...they made a big enough deal of the Macross Plus Movie edition release a few days ago as part of their WWM campaign....what good is a campaign without the merch to help monetize it.......so the YF-19 first, then the YF-21.......the biggest question now would be if they pull off a VF-11B to complete the Macross Plus "set" of VFs......I would say yes, simply because the next step in this WWM experiment will be Macross 7....in terms of VF merch in the form of DX's...the DX YF-19, YF-21, and VF-11B can easily be converted into their Macross 7 versions by Bandai..........at that point, the true test of WWM will be if the world unanimously rejects Macross 7 thus crushing Bandai's/BW's delusions of WWM grandeur!
  6. The Mercari link is for a legit copy of the poster....same one I referenced....the other 2 are fake, which if you are OK with that, you may as well try and find a hi-res version of the poster online and have it printed somewhere near you
  7. by now, everyone should know that time and/or our patience is irrelevant to the Ents at Bandai......you are saying that a toy that was first mentioned in 2019 is "officially" vaporware....yet a toy that was first DO'd (display only'd) in 2015 (and yes, I am referring to the HMR Tomahawk) is just now....a mere 6 years later...."possibly" being released between now and who knows when....maybe.... For the most part, it has always been like this for Macross collectors....best to get used to this quickly, if you have not done so already at some point during the last 40 years....
  8. Yes...the icon Isamu image WAS actualy used in an official Macross Plus promotional poster...it was used to promote the release of the Macross Plus Movie Edition in 1996....the other 2 images, IIRC, have never been used as the main image of anything offical in terms of Macross Plus posters or promotional materials (possibly used as pics within a poster or the back of a DVD/LD/Bluray case, etc.)...I've looked around but I cannot find it listed for sale anywhere at the moment...I am not sure if one will come up within your 2-week deadline.......good luck! One other idea would be to try and find a Macross Plus cel...but not sure what kind of buget you had in mind...
  9. this image would be your best bet in the form of a poster....as it is the basis for the promotional poster for the Macross PLus Movie Edition release back in '96..... If you are willing to look beyond posters....the same image is used for the film program to the Macross Plus Movie Edition made available at theatres in Japan when first released....those should be relatively easy to find on either YJA or eBay....

  11. With a logo that has absolutely no SDFM/DYRL valks on it? How about the 40th logo instead.....

I hope there are more SDFM related collectibles coming out in honor of SDFM's 40th....sure, it's great for Bandai to have resurrected the "pics" of the Tomahawk and "mentioned" the Phalanx...only to remove the mention.....but it just didn't seem like enough...ok, they did also show a derpy SD VF-1S...but even that was not in SDFM colors... My concern now is that since they are free to release NON-SDFM/DYRL items outside of Japan....from a business/profit perspective, the temptation to diminish the release of SDFM/DYRL items may be tempting....hopefully, they are not trying to determine the "demand for Macross" outside of Japan with sales data derived from NON-SDFM/DYRL items....I do not think it would provide them with accurate information
  13. I probably won't double dip on the other 2 VF's shown on the WWD mark...unless they throw in some WWD exclusives.....but I may do so if they release them in the WWD inaugural paint scheme...especially the YF-19...I think it would look good....kind of like a "Double-Nuts"....
  14. https://tamashii.jp/special/macross/vf-25/ Coming April 2022....
  15. It depends....if you are referring to any non-SDFM/DYRL VF...yes, since the BW/HG "agreement" it was just a matter of time...... If you are referring to ALL valks including SDFM/DYRL VFs....nope.....not unless BW has allowed Bandai to play with HG or, if given permission by BW, Bandai even wants to play with HG
  16. Although I'd prefer a TV version......you get what you get and don't get upset!

  19. Looks like Amazon.jp is playing there "No Direct US Shipping" shenanigans with this release.... https://www.amazon.co.jp/マクロス大解剖-日本の名作漫画アーカイブシリーズ-サンエイムック/dp/477964478X Unless you want to pay triple the MSRP plus non-discounted AJ international shipping fee....you will need to use a proxy...... I picked up a copy using Buyee......you can get it for MSRP (1,100 JPY plus domestic shipping fee) via Yahoo! Japan Shopping or Animate....there may be a few other sites offering it...
  20. Nah.....you have to wait for the US release of DYRL for that...
  21. Last few sales on YJA...average out the used sales... https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/closedsearch/closedsearch?auccat=&tab_ex=commerce&ei=utf-8&aq=-1&oq=&sc_i=&exflg=&p=RIOBOT+VR-041H&x=36&y=42 Add proxy fees and shipping to your country.....so maybe 50-60 USD Then deduct about 30% for the damage.......if the damage impedes transformation in any way, it will have a bigger impact on the ultimate price you can get.....essentially the more obvious the damage the lower you need to set your asking price....more so if it keeps it from transforming or maintaining poses, etc... Good Luck!
  22. Retconning the idea that the last time Obi Wan and Anakin were face to face was during their "final" lightsaber duel on Mustafar would be a "jumping the shark" moment for Star Wars.......it's either going to be some dream, one of those lame "Force dyad" fights like seen in the ST, or a Force-driven waking dream like Luke had on Dagobah......additionally, not sure if there has been any news of this, but I hope Liam Neesom is in this....if there has been no news, I hope they are keeping his involvement secret....he would be the perfect companion for Obi Wan during his solitude on Tatooine and besides...Yoda said he would be!! I really do not think Obi Wan and Vader will actually fight "in person"....but I think that they may show how Obi-Wan came to know that Anakin had become more "machine now, than man. Twisted and evil"...so hopefully a mission off-Tatooine will be mandated, where he "witnesses" Vader's attrocities first-hand and sees personally what Anakin has become........this "encounter" shocks him to the core, he had heard the stories for a few years now and seen some images before...all from the relative obscurity of Tattooine...but he preferred not to think of it, the images of Anakin cutting down younglings were always on his mind....he did not need further evidence of his "failure on Mustafar".....but now his new failure at [insert new planet here] where he once again let his feelings about his former padawan cloud his judgement and stopped him from taking action against "Vader"......instead, telling himself that his path now was not one that would involve "taking out" Vader personally, but one that would involve the protection of "Hope" at all costs.....nevertheless, Obi Wan continues to second guess himself and his faith in the Force.....Qui Gon assures him that he is on a path willed by the Force.....he starts having intense visions and nightmares of Anakin as Vader...culminating in Vader slicing him in half...just like we saw in ANH...only without Obi Wan becoming one with the Force.....it is at this point that Obi Wan realizes what he must do when he next encounters "Vader", his lost friend, for the last time...he looks onto Qui Gon's Force ghost who nods at him and fades away....his final training is complete........the series ends with Obi Wan, 10 years or so in the future, producing that Krayt Dragon shriek, scaring away the Tusken Raiders, as he heads towards the injured Luke....the final destination of his path now completely clear to him as the twin setting suns of Tatooine before him... I am not sure how they plan on portraying Vader in the series, but if Vader is going to be mostly in Obi Wan's dreams/head...then I hope Vader is an extreme Vader...the kind of Vader that we all have envisioned in our collective heads....the Vader that terrifies and neutralizes hope...a brutal Vader so evil that he can only possibly exist in feverish Force induced nightmares.......it is when Obi Wan comes to the realization that no living being, no matter how powerful they are in the Dark Side, can match the power gained by becoming one with the Living Force that his fears dissipate and the path before him becomes clear... They need to make some dream/vision sequences with this type of over the top action....
