  1. No speakers? PO cancelled! Maybe they will attach via magnet?
  2. Looks like stuff from the sorties books or Macross Chronicle
  3. Cool, thanks for those....kind of like a super-sized version of one of these....
  4. The HMR VF-4 illustration did not make it onto the Third Sortie.... Definitely getting the book to support more books in the future...maybe it may even lead to WWM releases...maybe Tenjin's Fourth Sortie? If anything, it will be nice to have several of the Macross Chronicle illustrations collected into one book
  5. Anyone have any info on this Toynami VF-1S "Shogun Warrior"? Thanks to @Shawn for the heads-up!
  6. Thanks to @Shawn for the heads-up! Anyone else have any more info on this Toynami release? Although not exactly what I had hoped for (would have preferred an upscaled Takatoku 1/55 style VF-1)....adding one to these "Jumbo" vinyls to the collection is an insta-buy for me
  7. Good luck...on my VF-1J CF....one of the legs was floppy right out of the box....Although KC is sending me a replacement leg....I am still waiting for a release that is completely free of QC issues....
  8. Guess if you don't have any of the Sorties book or Macross Chronicle mags, should be a good buy
  9. If you really can only afford to spend the msrp equivalent of one of these KC VF-1's....then I would suggest the VF-1J "Rick Hunter" release...it has the best fit among all the V2-V2.X releases and also retains the original leg tabs, which imo were a step backwards in the evolution of this toy when modified with the V2.X releases... Or maybe buy a KO Yamato VF-1S Roy or Hikaru?
  10. @Stampeed Valkyrie Did you get a chance to inspect your Super M&M? Mine apparently are on the slowest boat from China
  11. I'd have to dig them out, but to be honest, I may have never actually opened them up...I think it's been 5 years or so since I bought them when made available for PO
  12. I think at one point it seemed like Macross poster collecting was dead or dying...good to see collectors still interested in Macross posters....
  13. Oddly enough, this particular set was re-released as part of the merch that was sold during the Healthy Wings Macross concert held a few years ago... Sent you a link for a cheap set...good luck!
  14. Amazon's US shipping for hardcover books has been hit or miss for me...
  15. Cheaper here and there is a 10% discount available if you sign up for their newsletter.... https://www.rightstufanime.com/Hidetaka-Tenjins-Artistry-of-Macross-From-Flash-Back-2012-to-Macross-Frontier-Artbook-Hardcover Still on the fence on this one....may wait to find out if Tenjin did anything new for this specific release
  16. Have to prioritize between the needs and the wants
  17. Ok, so like the Bandai DX -1J and -1S
  18. That was quick! Is everything inside one box? Hoping these are free of QC issues...
  19. 20. HMR Tenjin Boxart...seems it's like the HMR VF-2SS packaging with the "window" in the back of the box...nice
  21. Must be one of the toy mags....the pic on the left seems to show the HMR Defender.....so maybe a 2017 Figure King issue?
  22. No....the pics used are basically the promo pics used in each of their individual releases, including some of the diorama-type promo pics.... What magazine issue is that pic from?

    Joy of the hunt?

I guess it all depends on what your are hunting for....I was on a decades long hunt to collect the entire run of Takatoku Macross toys...and I was able to acquire everything Takatoku released for their Macross line...it was a lot of fun and at times almost felt like an impossible task....but that hunt ended and in the process many more began and still keep going....as I said, the thrill of the hunt depends on what it is you are hunting....at some point either the well runs dry or you complete your goal....if you find yourself hungry for more, just come up with another target
