This is a must buy book...At the msrp, it sounds like it's going to be pretty extensive...wonder if we'll get Takani, Suzuki...and Masami?

Essentially....The Empire knew enough to complete the project without him, before that it seems he was under the threat that they would find his daughter and do stuff to her if he did not comply....so he complied, but then after time he decided to sabotage the project rather than walking away from it, completed without the "defect" built into it...

Kitz Concept Toy Thread 2.0
jvmacross replied to Stampeed Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No interest in this one....with all the QC issues and the redesigned VF-1 and fast packs that don't attach correctly in fighter mode...it just seems a bit much for this release- 2494 replies

Prices keep going higher for Macross original art..however, this cel is listed as a "buy it now" rather than letting the market figure out it's value. Personally, I think it's worth at most half of the current listing price if not less. I believe this one has been re-listed multiple times, so that also speaks as to what other potential buyers think it's worth... Of course, as with anything of this nature...if a certain piece personally interests you or has some sort of significance that cannot be easily quantified...then only you can place a price on it

Keep digging...If I'm not mistaken, you should also have several Macross Frontier prints that are suitable for framing

At least you got it right on the MtF VF-1J poster the first time...

Bandai, via their Megahouse brand, paid homage to the Takatoku box style with their Orguss toys from a few years ago? Maybe they'll do it for Macross for the 50th Anniversary...
-
Looking forward to the Tenjin boxart illustration...

The guy from the Kitz Concept factory was fired and re-hired by the Chinese Bandai factory around the corner.....that's his signature move! Same right leg too! And maybe the tampo guy from the Bandai factory got fired and took a job at the KC factory...hmmmm?

WWM = All NON-SDFM/DYRL Macross series are eligible for release/export outside of Japan w/o HG's blessing-licensing HG still holds control on what can be released outside of Japan for anything related to SDFM/DYRL ONLY.... So for fans of the original Macross....nothing has changed...you still need to PO directly from Japan...
-
Probably will....since this is NOT eligible for a WWM release, the production numbers should compensate for this snafu....either Bandai, armed with some freash data on "world" demand will up their production, or at minimum, will simply release what they normally do, which already factors in sales outside of Japan to some degree... Either way, PO Madness Night is Back!!! Thanks BW/HG!!!

Ask your friend if he has any of the lunch boxes from this Skylark Macross collection...I have never seen any on auction or sale...Shawn can have the poster...I want a lunchbox!
-
This is the first release in a long while that has not been either WWM, Tamashii websclusive or more or less an easy PO.....was getting kind of used to easy PO's....PO night might be interesting again....
-
Will go for 2, but will regret it if Bandai surprised us with a TV VF-1S Roy Focker Use....I suppose at worse I can use the spare super parts for the TV VF-1A CF
