  1. Based on that image you just posted Bandai got the coloring wrong. Or, rather, they got the crotch armor color correct but they did not color the intake covers the same color nor did they color the little triangle shape in the center of the chest armor the same color. So when on the toy you've got that one Gray crotch patch surrounded by bright white when other nearby spots should have been that same grey color as well.
  2. I have been looking into getting into customizing these toys and the two seaters have a sort of F-4 Phantom look in the cockpit area which I've always liked.
  3. I was never sure what the midsection swivel issue was so I never bothered with these which is a shame because I've loved the Tomahawk since I was a kid.
  4. That's curious. Why not make it all white like the other unpainted Valks so people can make whatever colored 2 seater they might like? It's odd to keep the tan and orange color.
  5. I like the concept and your execution is stunning. One thing I've noticed is the inherent shininess of the Bandai Valks makes the pictures ever so slightly more believable. The VF-1's look great but they might require a little more modification to keep the plasticy feel away. In this latest pic it's pretty good looking but the feet thrusters kind of ruin the illusion.
  6. That Scissor tail would be a lot less weird if it was changed to be the forearm shield (like on every Kawamori design since the 11) which would do two things. Keep the fighter looking like a fighter and not some retarded space age hornet-nosed thing and would make the Battroid more in line with other Macross Valks because it would have a proper forearm shield. While it still have the derivative VF-1 transformation in Battroid it has the wings folded back like the 25 and would bring it far more in line with what Kawamori has designed now.
  7. Yeah, both 1A's and his 1S were released the same day. And it was only a few months later they released his 1J with Milia too. The only one i didn't get was the 1A DYRL at the time and I'm not sure why I didn't as Max is my favorite and I have all of his other Valks.
  8. Something about this one doesn't feel right with me. I was excited to see the first two but I really have not felt any of these new trailers. I am willing to bet this movie ends one of two ways though.
  9. Looks like a good exhibit overall (except for the dreadfully claustrophobic room that VF-25 is in.) I know we've had discussions on which show is more visible/memorable and that Frontier really brought in newcomers/younger kids but this exhibit looks like it did a pretty good job educating them on all things Macross from the past as well.
  10. Those Fast Pack designs of yours are really cool looking actually. I could see somebody attempting a Mod on their VF-4 to your design. I think if you were going to attach packs to the VF-4 your design makes the most sense really. On/Off topic at the same time, I looked through those other VF-4 threads and am intrigued I've never heard/seen this MacII Alternate Timeline VF-4 before. Are there pictures of it anywhere besides that one screen from a video game?
  11. Graham did say the guys at Yamato liked the way the Active and Nothung's looked. Doesn't mean they'd ever get made considering they're practically entire reworks of the molds though.
  12. Is a sketch considered official? Because those look like the official VF-25 fast packs now.
  13. Those plates really stand out and look bad if you ask me. I'm no fan of the Super packs on the 25 anyway so it doesn't affect me but I think, even if it's relatively accurate to the anime, it was a bad call to go ahead and make all of them off-white instead of molding them in whatever plastic color would match the Valk it was going with.
  14. Do you purely paint models with this or would you recommend this for painting Yammies too?
  15. Yeah, I remember you did that and it wasn't so bad looking really.
  16. For Kyp's sake I hope he gets what he wants. I personally don't believe they'll attempt to recreate those feet though.
  17. The quote is actually, "It was a million to one shot Doc... million to one." And it was a Fusilli Jerry... because Jerry is silly.
  18. I was a little irked to find after i had "treated" myself while unemployed these things went on sale so quickly after that.
  19. Geez, what a piece-meal transformation. No wonder several sources claimed the thing transformed but said the transformation mechanism didn't work. I could believe it.
  20. ... is this anything like when my Mom used to tell me stories of people breaking their old vinyl recordings because someone would leave them on a chair and people would sit on them?
  21. I have one minor gripe about this. The orientation of the information on the card does not match the orientation of the Valks on display. It seems like anybody who is going to need that card, i.e. none of us on Macross World, is going to have to scan around to every item in the case to try to match up what is what. Maybe it's just the pedantic engineer inside me but it seems inefficient.
  22. Trust me, I plan to jump that thing as soon as it's available (provided I'm awake... the 171 didn't go over so well.) Still, I'm hoping it won't come to that.
  23. That's a good point. I still wonder if the G will be as popular just because it's not Alto or Ozma.
