I watched a few of the reviews on youtube for these figures and I have to say that they seem pretty disappointing. The choices they made on a lot of the joints makes them extremely limited, especially The Hulk's legs. The fricking Marvel Legends Hulk figure has more articulation there. And they wind up being gappy around the torso. Apparently the plastic feels really cheap too.

Ah, that last bit about the light layer of clear coat is what I needed to know so I can finish my custom VF-4 decals.

No, if my friend Natasha is correct I'm pretty good at missing humor in text form. Oops. That Stormtrooper is the only time she's genuinely expressed awe at a sculpt. The rest are, "that's kinda cool" or "I don't like that." That would be a good idea, sadly there would only be about three videos, they would be thirty seconds long, and it would mostly be brain-damaged stammering. She's been remarkably cool with the whole collecting thing my whole life. She used to hunt for X-Men figures while I was at school. She used to tell me not to worry what other people thought of my collecting in high school. I don't think she's super happy with the fact this stuff takes up so much room but I'm the one who pays for the house/food/etc so it ain't up to her. Back on topic, while I really do love the B scheme I personally think the Ozma is the best looking one overall.

Star Trek: Prelude to Axanar short film
Mommar replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I agree, but the screaming and crying are about the same things. The Axanar campaign was very clear what they were doing. Most of it is just inflated expectations and low reading comprehension.- 94 replies

Star Trek: Prelude to Axanar short film
Mommar replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I hear there are A LOT of donors unhappy with how that Kickstarter turned out. They're calling for heads, claiming they haven't been transparent with how the money has been spent at all. It's a lot like reading the Robotech Kickstarter threads, actually.- 94 replies

She only comments on them in fighter mode, except for the 0D which she found pretty impressive looking in Gerwalk as well. (Just FYI, she thinks the Figuarts Ashigaru Storm Trooper is a work of art.)

By all means, play whatever games they expect you to play. Doesn't mean I'm not going to call all of their rules as stupid.

I have one on order but I still don't think this is going to be a very good release. My issue with them putting this on the fans to keep the line going is they need to make a product worth wanting to go back to again and again. Right now it's a passable 2SS but it's not a great one, and based on the mold not even a good one. It's just the only one. Sure, there is a different prototype version or two coming, but given Tochiro didn't ask things like "does the new mold get rid of those hideous posts for the engines" or "will the fighter actually be shaped correct" plus the fact they weren't aware the giant tabs on Battroid are a problem, it's pretty clear they aren't going to fix the issues we all have. And I think they won't be fixed if they rely on the Japanese market suggestions alone as the culture isn't the type to be direct with their criticisms like we in the west are. At least they have some taste, the 2JA is the better way to go as it doesn't look hideous like the Metal Siren does.

My 29B finally arrived in the mail yesterday. The most glowing review I can give is that it's another piece my Mother commented on (if she bothers to notice something on the shelf at all that's a surprise.) This one, she says, reminds her of the Airforce dress uniforms. This, the 0D and the VF-19F are the three she has commented on at all. Maybe she just has a thing for dark blue planes...

That's it, two seater. I'm thinking the armor is going to be $150+.
-
Given how "all-in" they seem to be with the Zero stuff perhaps we'll see new SV-51's?
-
To me it sounds like he's saying the prototype here doesn't have any markings applied yet.
-
What the hell are you people on about? The VF-0D DID NOT use the same white as their VF-1's did.
-
No Gerwalk photos? The 27 has the next best "bird-or-prey" look just after the SV-51.

And now the question, is it just the armor? Do we all need to buy two 0S'es now?

Beat me to it. I wonder if they'll put out Hawkeye, Black Widow, Vision, etc... Larger pic:

How is Cap? Based on all of these photos it doesn't really look like Hulk and Cap really mesh with how Iron Man looks visually.

The Real World capabilities of a VF-1 Valkyrie
Mommar replied to Valkyrie1981's topic in Movies and TV Series
I love it when we get insight from someone who has actually worked on these systems in such detail. Also, are you seriously living in the UAE right now? How is it? -
Yeah, both figures have been put back up at Nippon-Yasan several times while I was indisposed. Doesn't much matter, the two I already ordered are paid for so it's not like I can just pull out now if it's a scam. I messaged BandaiOnline and supposedly they claim they'll be shipped after the weekend and asked me to verify my address.
