I never said anything about poseability or non-stiff joints. I just don't find it as fun.

Glaug arrived last night. I'm not as enamored with it as I was the Regults. It's cool to have a Commander Style Pod in great scale with the regular Regults but I don't find it nearly as fun or cool as the Regults. Also, I dislike the color of red plastic they used for the cockpit and on the feet. A darker shade would have looked classier.

Macross Δ (Delta) News Thread - READ 1st POST
Mommar replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
This seems like a very key quote, “There are some plans for Delta related videogames as well but it is still under consideration. However, this is reliant on the possibility of a Western release for the series.” Is it possible??? -

It's just a flap hanging down like you would see on the skirt of a knight. It in no way looks like a boner. -
I haven't heard about any new ones but WHY THE HELL NOT!?!?! Preeeeeeee ordered!

Well the Riot Control Storm Trooper showed up today. I forgot I had pre-ordered it. It's a Storm Trooper with a shield and baton. Could have easily been an add-on set like Macross Armor. It's cool looking but since the new movie is terrible in my eyes I just don't feel much affection for it.

You beat me to it. Notice Kitty comes with the Onslaught Magneto Head and oddly Rogue comes with an ungloved hand as well. I wonder if ice man will come with anything else.

Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 9 - READ 1st POST
Mommar replied to azrael's topic in Movies and TV Series
I get the feeling Messer is finally going to have to be put down and it'll be by Hayate. That will drive him to fly harder to make up for Messer's absence (Hayate has already marveled at what a good pilot he is) because he feels compelled to fill that role. -
I don't know, it looks like they just decided it's a silly concept so ape the cartoon. I'm sure the jokes will be bad but it's at least far more honest, even if it's bad.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
Mommar replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
But wasn't that the whole point of these side-stories? Star Wars Movies that could feel like different films. -
"Bays subtexts remain questionable: here were asked to cheer heavily weaponised pizza guzzlers against a cabal of non-Caucasians, in a way that altogether uncomfortably aligns turtle power with its white equivalent." Okay, really? They should have fought that Scottish Ninja Clan like from the comics and cartoons, right? Why do these frakkers need to read into imaginary subtext?

2010, I think. It was in the Wolverine & Jubilee comic.

Why are we talking about Hi-Metals in the DX 31 thread? That being said, don't forget it wasn't just VF-1's in that old line. Their first two releases were a pair of pretty terrible VF-19's.

From where???? Also, did you hear about the rumored second series X-men set for this year? Marvel Legends Xmen series 2 -Shatterstar - Colossus - Polaris - Sunfire - Dazzler - Cyclops - Wolverine... I'm betting on X-23 Wolverine. Yup, they made her even more stupid than before with the Vampire crap but now she has super strength and endurance because Vampires... Though I will say her complete irritability teamed up with Wolverine in the 90's comic actually worked out a lot more than it should have.

People introduced to the X-Men via the 90's cartoon or who read the Wolverine comics during the 90's are more familiar with Jubilee. Kitty was really only Wolverine's side-kick in the early eighties and not for nearly as long (though she is a much better character.)

Magik is on the new small-girl mold... and that's why it sucks. That Jubilee mold is terrible all around, and a lot of really cool female Spider-Ladies have suffered because of it.

Hmm, that's a new body mold for Wolverine. I wonder if the claws will work as well as on the previous figures? Nice touch having swappable hands with sheathed claws as well. I'm not digging the Juggernaut head sculpt though.

Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)
Mommar replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I have the exact same problems with Episode VII that I have with Into Darkness, I feel like Trek and Wars were both damaged by those films and JJ is the common thread there. I hope Lin and Johnson both help to correct that.Though Lindeloff is terrible, I also blame Ridley Scott. Promethus was his movie and he should have been able to veto anything that was bad but he didn't, JJ as well for Trek and Wars.- 466 replies
