Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
Mommar replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hmm, did she say "May The Force Be With Us" different from that other trailer? It sounded less... cheeky, and a lot more ominous. Also, can't get enough of that scene with the X-Wings barreling down that darkened canyon with the lights on. -
The durability is pretty good. You can play with them. As with all Bandai lroducts you have to watch for loosening joints but there are ways to fix that mostly. They're fun little Battroid figures.

Given the angle/etc... I'm pretty sure that's a direct rip of that scene in DYRL. -

They can fire forward, the cannon can extend downward. Also, Christ I'm going to wind up buying three of these DX's... -

I might've low-balled. I'm sticking to it. You can post in giant bold letters, "Told You So" upon release.

I'm legitimately stoked for this release. I love how they attempt to take a real-world approach to all of this nutty transforming Airplane stuff. I want to see what crazy crap they come up with for variants.

This honestly explains nothing. All it does is call the people who didn't like it misogynists, which we've already heard. And their conclusion the older fans are like Walter Peck is Tea Pot calling the Kettle black because making it all female is just the new "proper, approved fashion." Going their own way would have actually been a mix of male and female casting in the roles.

Damn, I totally forgot about the Taikoyaku Stormtrooper on it's way from BBTS. The last few weeks have been INSANE for toy arrivals. I really should take a haul picture. Two Figuarts, two Movie Realization, Hi-Metal R Monster and SIXTEEN Marvel Legends!

Every Macross fan needs a Monster.

I'd assume they'll cost somewhere between $80 and $120.

Armchair speculation but several people expressed frustration they couldn't afford them (understandable) and/or outright disgust with people who could (a specific well-to-do member was specifically attacked a few times for his collection) so I'd assume a sort of "if I can't have it, nobody can" mentality. And then there's a few who probably think if Arcadia loses their license Bandai will magically start dipping into the Valkyrie "deep cuts" and start producing cheaper alternatives to all of them. Back on topic, I cannot wait to see how the 31 actually turns out. I'm a tad concerned about the weird rear landing gear since I keep several of the Valks parked on their gears.

I'll be perfectly honest with you, despite getting much better at trimming decals and that I like being able to customize things the way I want I still can't use every decal they provide. That tiny skull you used for instance, there's too any little bumps and crevices that I wouldn't be able to trim properly and have it look good. I've left stuff like that off. Depending on the color of the Valk and color of the decal you can get away with more or less trimming as well.

Despite all of the supposed hate I tossed at the VF-1's (and the 19... I do honestly hate that thing) I'm looking forward to any fixed mode HMR Bandai can produce. They've knocked every one of them out of the park, as I knew they would.
-
The 31 should be a good release. The 30's were much improved over the past releases and the 19 was further better. I think the 31 should have the same quality bump (unless Bandai are going to do some strange corner cutting.) I don't remember the posts but Lolicon is correct, some members directly wished for Arcadia's demise.

Wow, they couldn't be that precise with me: "The X-Men cases have been heavily allocated by Hasbro, causing us to not receive our full quantities. We will be getting shipments in from now until September, though how many and when is a mystery to us until we get a notice from Hasbro. We will be going in first come, first serve style so its fair to everyone and as of right not, we cannot guarantee your order to be filled with the next batch."

People aren't happy about the video? Your wife is certainly a good sport.

Yeah, I've never had any of the Yamato or Arcadia stickers peel off. Though I would recommend (if you ever do this again) getting proficient in using an x-acto knife to trim the clear edges off. The decals look so much better trimmed properly.
