The General Movie Thread
electric indigo replied to TangledThorns's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Makoto Shinkai's "Your Name" is reported to get a live-action remake, with Shinkai himself doing adaption writing and JJ Abrams producing & "Minari" director Lee Isaac Chung at the helm. A good incentive to watch the original feature again.- 1724 replies

@Chronocidal Very impressive progress there. Would a cockpit/canopy from an F-15 fit in there? There was a 1/100 kit of that. _ Horny resin things around here:

May I suggest this nifty 1/72 Trumpeter J-31? It's 98% there. -
Aircraft Super Thread Mk.VII

Unveiling of Korea's KF-21. Looks like the navalized (shortened) J-31 with Raptor inlets. Or any other recent G5 design... Here's a preview of India's effort: -

Thanks guys! Doing my best to keep you entertained. My wild guess is that one is a ground connector for electric discharge. There is a label next to the smaller one, but I couldn't find pics of the real thing.

The Messerschmitt is finished & photographed. More pics in my Flickr album.

IMO the craft looks so much better without the toy-ish nacelle colors. Good work, you should cut out some bigger windows to show off the interior.

A hint to Tomcat modelers: In a closed canopy build, anything below the sill is pretty much invisible, especially with pilots in there. So maybe don't get crazy on those circuit breakers...

VF-1J Minmay Guard - Battroid Hasegawa 1/72
electric indigo replied to valkyriepm's topic in Model kits
Awesome piece of work! It deserved a better Battroid kit to start with. -
You're making warp speed progress. Got the decals on here, too.

Thanks! Here comes part two:

@Dobber Insanely awesome - nice to see them all together. Got half of the 262 camo'd today:

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post
electric indigo replied to Shawn's topic in Model kits
Is the Monster guy linked to Mechanicore/G-System by any chance? They show a similar approach to detailing, and the other videos seem to indicate an inner structure, making it suitable to kit this thing. The design is too cluttered for my personal taste, but's it's an impressive work nonetheless, and I enjoy the fresh take on a well-known subject. -
@peter I really admire the passion you have for these challenging kits – it must feel like time traveling, working with these crappy molds. Looking forward to see the decals on them. Some more time traveling today:

Nice Trek stuff going on here. @peter You should treat yourself with the 1/350 BoP, it's one of the best Trek kits around.

The General Movie Thread

There seems to be a bit of review bombing going on at IMDB with this movie. It looses steam in the second half, but Pike & Tyrion are great – though my favorite scene ist between Pike and Chris Messina as the oily mob lawyer.- 1724 replies
