PLAAF pilot is ready to go to work.

If it's any consolation, the 1/100 Bandai Falken is going at insane rates currently. Time for a re-release.

I think the point of Artpla is to make some iconic garage kit sculpts available as injection plastic kits.
-
Alter's products are finished toys. The detail level is about the same as on the Bandai kits, but they have more add-ons. Honk if you feel it.
-
According to the listing at Hobbysearch, it does. As for the hands of the Battroid, the 80's Power Hands are back in stock. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10710529

Try looking for Gouache paint in art supply stores, it's the same thing.

@foundshaian Some in-progress pics are in the Yukikaze thread: The Bandai kits were pretty cool, I don't know if they were ever re-released.
-
Those are 1/100 Bandai EX kits. One was converted to Yamashita's concept art version.

After several iterations of things popping off while trying to put things on I'm calling the Desert Hornet finished. Some rough spots remain, but it looks cool enough. Better pics to come.

Right, it's Trumpeter's 1/48 J10C. Excellent & affordable kit.

Time for some paint. Sky grey : gloss white 1:2 over pure sky grey base coat.
-
@arbit No need for SF when the real thing is already pretty wild: @derex3592 The decals look perfect over the metallic grey.

Some tinkering

@Chronocidal I guess the short nose also was inspired by carrier-based planes of that era. The KA-3D has a comparable front profile.

Uuh, I need some vacation from The Last Of Us before I can watch this.

Volks announced a new 1/144 LED Mirage injection kit. Also a SAV Biblos is coming, which might be based on the old MM kit.

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

I think it's built around the Hasegawa kit, so yes. -

The commonly known "Lift off" diorama is even more awesome if you realise how small it is: -

Moderoid Model Series by Good Smile
electric indigo replied to M'Kyuun's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hobbysearch has a couple of Moderoid kits on sale right now, like the Madox and Power Loader. I bought the Deer Stalker last year, and the engineering is a bit clunky compared to Bandai, but it's a cool design and comes at the size of a 1/100 Gundam. -
I have built the Kaiyodo version of this kit and it's super small in 1/144 (about 13 cm)
-
Eggshell seems to be the direction there. Feel free to share your progress on the 1/72 kit.
