  1. From what I've seen and read so far, the Bandai kits actually have an edge over the FM versions in regard of the level of detail and accuracy. The pilot figures & droids are better, too. On the downside, some panel lines are heavier because of the color separation of the parts.
  2. At least the comic does a better job of looking the part
  3. Hey, you'll be even more impressed with the details & mechanics they put into such a small kit.
  4. There's a new (online exclusive?) Mecha Collection coming with several smaller crafts - looking nice, but the pricing is a tad ambitious at 2970 Yen. And where's the 1/72 DWG 262? http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-2/bandai-hobby-online-shop-2015年5月8日起接受訂購,日本2015年7月派貨-模型《/
  5. As for a low-complexity approach, you could back it with aluminium foil to get some nice hints of the blue when the angle of view is right.
  6. With the comics rebooting all the time, don't expect the movies to make too much sense in sequence.
  7. First teasers are out for Ridley Scotts "The Martian", sending Matt Damon into space (again) to get stranded on the red planet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lKgF_fSvA8 Always nice to get some "real space" attempts vs. the ubiquitous superhero operas.
  8. Hot Chocolate lead Errol Brown died yesterday - time to revisit late 70s disco https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQsg6XXGxXQ
  9. I also recommend the comic adaption from 1988 by belgian artist Marvano. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Forever_War_(comics)
  10. GGinfinite is an option: http://gginfinite.com/MG-1-100-Sazabi-Ver-Ka-and-RE-100-Nightningale-Funnel-Effect-Part-Set-P-Bandai-Exclusive.html
  11. Here's the Speeder Bike & Snow Plough Speeder. Y-Wing coming next (1/72).
  12. First glimpse of Naoki's Zeta (now "Lightning Zeta"):
  13. Well, you can put too much salt in the soup...
  14. There's apparently some kind of "Heavy TIE" in the hangar explosion scene. Note the red painted area at the left. http://cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/Star-Wars-7-Force-Awakens-Teaser-Trailer-2-Tie-Fighter-Betrayal.jpg The normal TIE can be seen in this shot: http://cdn.screenrant.com/wp-content/uploads/Star-Wars-7-Force-Awakens-Teaser-Trailer-2-Crashed-Ship.jpg Some details differ from the original design (aside from the paint job): The engines are on top and bottom of the main body, and the joints at the panel are shaped differently. Does the pilot chasing the falcon also have red pinstripes on his helmet, or is this a reflection?
  15. I could watch Goslin driving a Spinner through 2019 LA with a Vangelis soundtrack for 90 Minutes...
  16. Well, Chewie hasn't aged a bit. Another detail from the trailer: Black/gun metal TIE Fighter with white solar panels in the trooper assembly shot, Hoth-like snowy backdrop. Love the Chrome Trooper.
