  1. Not a bad idea and it's certainly worth a shot. But it can't ride the wave. This Saul Goodman show has to be solid on it's own merits or I'll drop it fast.
  2. Dramatically, the Exedol character was an exposition generator and occasional comic relief. In order for certain elements of the SDF Macross story to function, such a character was required. So because Lap Lamiz and Millia were used for different dramatic purposes, there was no need for this expository side kick. If there was one, I can't recall the character ever being notable. In-universe, we did see other Meltrandi characters floating around the bridge of the ship commanded by Lap Lamiz. One of them could be an Adviser/Archivist but I don't recall it was ever explicitly stated. In Macross 7 Encore, Chlore also had some Meltrandi minions on her bridge. Could be just crew, but one of them had this unique outfit that might have signified some sort of special rank like an Adviser/Archivist.
  3. Yeah, I got nervous there for a bit. I prefer to have a reliable source to purchase these until the run is over.
  4. Breaking Bad The Complete Series To Be Released In A Barrel http://www.slashfilm.com/cool-stuff-breaking-bad-the-complete-series-to-be-released-in-a-barrel/ I don't usually go for these collectible things, but then there's nothing usual about Breaking Bad. I think I may purchase this
  5. Um, wow. This is one cliffhanger to remember. Epic shootout is epic
  6. I don't understand how this trailer is so bad. Even the trailer for the awful Total Recall remake enticed me to give that film a chance. This Robocop trailer is simple, uninspired, poorly-acted...a disaster on almost every level. It even has the obligatory call-back to a line from the original. The only thing I liked was the modern special effects. Well, if the marketing was shooting for rock bottom, they hit the Earth's core. Still, this could be indavertently entertaining. If the film is as bad as the trailer, I can't wait for the slashfilm review podcast
  7. I like it! The framing is perfect for a smartphone. Nice colors too. Got a couple more drawn art pictures with some great colors.
  8. Thank gawd the low res photo diffuses that glare Turning away for a moment from the mammary subject, in honor of last night's episode of Breaking Bad I have this new wallpaper
  9. I hate to see Jesse working with Hank. I'm saddened that he's now almost certainly going to jail, if he even survives. But I suppose the end of the episode was worth it.

    YF-21 WIP

To call these results extraordinary is understatement, so congratulations are in order. I think this is fine work. Regarding the weathering, I assume a weathered version and a clean version might satisfy both parties, presuming that isn't much harder than I'm guessing it would be. Regardless, I will be thrilled almost beyond words with the finished model of this current rendition. Bravo!
  11. There's nothing official that I know of, but I have often wondered about the fleet designations for various ships and guessed at what they may mean. For example, the Guantánamo Class Stealth Carrier's of the Macross 7 fleet have designations like "CV" and "CVR". Could the acronym mean "Colony Vessel"? For the Northampton Class Stealth Frigates they have designations using "FFM", could it mean Frontier Fleet Macross/Mission?
  12. Agent ONE I'm not seeing much performance there Kelsain That is some great artwork. It makes a great wallpaper. areaseven I love the layout of those pictures. They make ideal phone wallpapers. I think the second one is my favorite. anime52k8 Send me a PM Keep them coming everyone! Attached below are some images from genre classics that make great smartphone wallpapers.
  13. Breaking Bad's cultural penetration hit my office the other day. The people in network services had this image on the whiteboard as you entered their office
  14. Some nice early buzz that actually has some substance to it. I hope the potential of this film plays out like it should.
  15. Archer I'm not familiar with the resolution of the HTC One, but I assume that by 1080 you mean 1920 x 1080, the widescreen just done vertically. You're in luck because the YF-19 Battroid source picture is big enough that I can make a new wallpaper from it, but not all my source images will work. Attached is to this post is the wallpaper in 1080. Hope you like it.
  16. David Hingtgen Okay, the image is attached here. Keep in mind that like I said to Kelsain, I could never make the Macross Valkyrie Anniversary image work within the narrow phone resolutions. You'll see in the first image the poor VF-19 Custom gets cropped to fit the your iPhone. So what I've done is built both the cropped 640 x 1136 wallpaper as well as a 1136-wide version. I guess you can play around with each and see which works better. Or maybe download an App for your phone so you can use scrolling landscape wallpapers. The other three images are attached as well, all at 640 x 1136. Enjoy!
  17. David Hingtgen I can make a wallpaper for you using the Macross Valkyries Anniversary image, but I'd need to know the resolution of your phone and whether you want a static wallpaper or landscape wallpaper. All my wallpapers are currently in 720 x 1280 resolution (the Samsung S3 standard resolution), but I have larger source images for most of them. I've attached some of my other Macross-y wallpapers, so just let me know if you want any of those. Archer I've attached what I got to this message. Let me know if you're looking for anything else in particular. Graham Images attached to this post. Enjoy! Chewie Nice wallpapers! I like the Boba Fett background. A very nice fit. I got some more Boba Fett if you're interested, in this post.
  18. Wow, what an episode! Jesse finally figures out the poisoning of Brock and puts together the ricin being lifted. They played the trick just one too many times. There's so many crazy events happening all at once, I can't wait to see how it all collides into a huge mess. Each of these episodes is literally elevating my heart rate when watching them.
  19. There they are I really like the Lock screen wallpaper. Symmetrical and easy to see even if the icons were there. Here's one of my favorite anime themed wallpapers,
  20. Keith I believe the Samsung S2 introduced the scrolling wallpaper which is simply a wallpaper larger than the display screen that the user can reveal when navigating left/right with the screen menu system. It was a standard feature of the S2 but on the S3 it was relegated to a (free) App called "Landscape Wallpaper". I've attached two images below to illustrate. Admittedly the feature is rather fun, but I can't achieve the precise image placement I can with a static wallpaper and my home screen is the most important to me. LOL for the cat girl art Kelsain Yeah, that anniversary image of the valkyries was one of the first Macross pictures I tried, but I couldn't make it work. I found too many of the smaller valkyries were obscured by icons, which largerly leaves the VF-25F Messiah. I felt at that point I might as well just have an image if the VF-25F on it's own, so I went with other Macross images. The 2001 image is from GrahamTG at DeviantArt. The original is a massive 3,000+ pixel tall image really worth checking out. In order for the image to fit 720 x 1280, I had to crop some of this painting to make it work (a very traumatic process, LOL). Check out his beautiful original: http://grahamtg.deviantart.com/art/2001-198563465 Keep 'em coming folks!
  21. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy SIII roughly a year ago and as my first smartphone I've enjoyed the Apps and Custom Configurations, especially wallpaper. Like most smartphones you can use virtually any image as a wallpaper but I needed "vertical" images that could be edited into the 720 x 1280 layout ("if" I didn't want a scrolling wallpaper, which I typically don't). I also wanted the app/widget layout to remain but be complimentary to the image used without the icons obscuring details that would spoil the image. So I built them! We have a desktop thread, so why not a smartphone thread? Of course, some of my first wallpapers were Macross pictures but the collection quickly expanded into film, video games, music, TV series, comic books, DeviantArt, etc. Attached are a few of my favorite wallpapers for my phone. Share yours! All resolutions and smartphone types welcome!
  22. Giant Bomb has an interview with the lead designer of X-Com and this announcement has VERY broad implications for the game. It's not just DLC or an Expansion. Full 20-minute interview is here: http://www.giantbomb.com/podcasts/so-what-s-xcom-enemy-within/1600-557/ Ananda makes it quite clear multiple times that X-COM Enemy Within is very extensive in scope as far as gameplaye, but it is NOT a different/expanded story. The DLC is an addition to the core game that you play as a new run-through of the same story. The pack features multiple new weapons, base facilities, alien enemies, soldier classes, research, resources, etc. It also includes new multiplayer material and many new maps for both single-player and multiplay. Ananda and his staff are only allowed to talk about a small part of the DLC at this time (the bits that Ghost Train posted) but he reiterated that the DLC extensively adds and expands on EVERY part of the game.
  23. I want Jesse to get away so I really hope he doesn't give Hank crap. I don't see how he would either. After he was attacked by Hank, they'd have to write some miracle for Jesse to even spit in Hank's direction. But I suppose that's the great thing about Breaking Bad is amazing writing.
  24. More of this game can only be a good thing.
