  1. I'm loving this color scheme. Wow!
  2. Thank you azrael! Fantastic new pictures! That VF-25 Hikaru version looks amazing. Click...save...click...save
  3. I'd go gay to have her
  4. I can see the similarites. It had been so many years since I last read about the Berkut, I just assumed the project had progressed. Reading up on it now, it looks like the whole thing has stalled. Weirdness.
  5. Hey hellohikaru, do you also have a multi-layer template for the top view of the VF-11 Thunderbolt?
  6. LOL @ eugimon Well, the only way I'll know for sure is to watch the show. I'll maintain a healthy mindset of skepticism just for you guys
  7. LOL! That's YF-21
  8. I thought that was just the initial flight proving model that was using Flanker parts. Confused
  9. It had tits. When all else fails, you have to look on the bright side
  10. There was a great independent video store called Bird Dog in my old home city of Calgary. They had a great little incentive program built around a simple discount card. After 5 rentals, you'd get half off the next purchase (your option to use it or save it for later). After 10 rentals, you'd get one free (again, your option to use it or save it). After a year, I had dozens of free rentals and half price rentals. It worked great and kept me coming back. Of course, their slection was also quite good, especially foreign film and rare movies.
  11. It's been cleared up, at least as far as BEST CURRENTLY AVAILABLE INFORMATION. It's AD 2059.
  12. You're both quite right. If the story is strong, such minor failings will become mute, onyl showing up years after we've finished slobbering over how great it was. But I can still wish for 100% CG
  13. Thanks for the pics lechuck. I agree it is certainly frustrating not getting this information from the horse's mouth as they say, but at least you found something. Import toy news is 99% word of mouth at best.
  14. I couldn't agree more. If they are going to use photorealistic CGI for all the vehicles in the show, they have to remain consistent. Suddenly moving to cell drawn is incredibly jarring and is one of the things I too disliked about Macross Zero. It has to remain consistent; all CG or all hand drawn drawn vehicles, no 95:5 ratios.
  15. Well I admit I don't follow Gundam. A few years back I went through a massive Gundam phase that lasted about a year itself. I watched three television series, half a dozen Gundam OVAs and half a dozen more Gundam films. Out of all that, I enjoyed one series enough to remain a fan all these years afterward (Gundam 0080) but other than that, the franchise never did much for me beyond mecha design. So, I just don't keep up with it. But for whatever reason Gundam 00 looks interesting to me, I like what I've read so far and the mecha designs work for me. I'll give it a try and see how it turns out.
  16. Damn, I love that VF-25 head unit. Very nice design.
  17. All hail the best fighter ever! Love the YF-23! Oh ye cruel hand of fate!
  18. Admittedly it's a Gundam fan site, but Chris G's reviews over at MAHQ are quite good. I've read through all his Gundam and Macross views and we're usually on the same page. Even John from AnimeNation has spoken well of Gundam 00. And I do like the Gundam designs in this latest show, which says a lot. It has me intrigued to say the least. It's worth a try.
  19. No problemo. I'm creating a section on my website that I'll use for all the comparison pictures I've done so far. It'll include the VF-11C versus VF-11D, the VF-11B versus the VF-11C and the YF-21 versus the VF-22.
  20. The Gundam Exia featuring hair with the armor off is sooooo Five Star Stories I'm actually curious to give Gundam 00 a try. It sounds pretty good!
  21. The YF-21 gun pods are not stored internally. They are mounted on the outside of the ventral fuselage/bay doors, as eugimon has pointed out with the line art from my site (not a problem!). When using FAST Packs, the gun pods are simply mounted upon the exterior of the ventral packs. The VF-22 however has different ventral fuselage/bay doors than the prototype. The VF-22 bay doors have an angled design acting as cradles that hold the two GV-17L gun pods INSIDE the ventral fuselage. See this picture:
  22. This may make me sound like an ass, but at the risk of a little cred I'd be more than happy to see the anime market contract to the size and demand of the current foreign film market if...IF it meant faster, cheaper releases of anime internationally. I do enjoy a GOOD anime dub, but good anime dubs are so rare their overall value, all things considered, is very small. I wouldn't lament the loss of the one or two dubs I enjoy if it meant faster and cheaper availability of ALL the other anime I own. None of the foreign film I watch is dubbed and those rare few films that are dubbed never see use of the dub track. Like foreign film, I've just gotten used to watching anime subbed and don't even miss dubs all that much anymore.
  23. I used a red tinged grey for the YF-21 FAST Packs. But I'm not sure if it's accurate.
  24. Well, Paris is the poster child for socialite fops and do-nothings. He may not be that great, but Liefeld at least did and does work for his money, however ill-conceived the result may be so I'd have to quash the comparison
