  1. Connery, Brosnan and Craig are still my favorite Bonds. I don't care which Bonds movies are more comic book or which ones are more reality-TV style, I like Goldfinger, I like Goldeneye and I like Casino Royale. As great as Daniel Craig is, sometimes I just don't want the brooding Bond. Sometimes I want "Beg your pardon, forgot to knock" *smack*
  2. The Fz-109 is rated slightly less than the VF-17, but the point is they are comparable and in the same performance range. The Varauta mecha are much better performance-wise than the VF-11C (though the Super Packs may put them on a level field).
  3. Omg zinslackass, get it in gear
  4. Ahh, good, good. It's a nice scheme. Looks sharp. You do like the color black on a valkyrie
  5. Yes, I'm sorry I didn't post it, but I believe Seto had previously told me they go by both names. I don't have any high resolution line art for the AAB/Squires, so I didn't add them. But I'll try to get some and make the addition. As an added note, anything I add to the Macross Mecha Manual from the Chronicle is going to be in a different color text, just to help distinguish it and create a fact trail until the whole thing is published.
  6. The Varauta variable fighters are definitely based off the VF-14, but you can't upgrade something into a new fighter generation, so the VF-14s had to be high performing to begin with. Even an upgraded variant based upon the VF-14 could only go so far. The VF-14 at least had to be a better performer than the newer VF-11 in order for the Varauta to upgrade it to VF-17 levels of performance. For all their vaunted powers, the Varauta never came across as significantly advanced to the UN Spacy. They couldn't even build super beam guns and were totally taken aback by the attack of the Battle 7.
  7. Interesting color scheme. I'm not sure I understand what you need done to this picture. The line art appears in tact. Which line is supposedly missing?
  8. I'll just blame Yang. He was the mole under Sharon's control that messed with the YF-19 computer system before Isamu sent him on his wingless flight
  9. Talos That would be great. Hook me up, dude SchizophrenicMC Got that line art in uncolored black and white?
  10. Yeah, that was just recently wasn't it? I remember reading that on the IMDB. Bizarre.
  11. Nice work Chronocidal. It's creepy how well both angles fit with each other
  12. I don't think it was "left on" by Sharon's account. Sharon needed an open radio communication channel to infiltrate Isamu's YF-19; Myung just happened to be in the same room and sang away. It's no magical mystery. The plot hole we should be questioning is why Isamu didn't turn off his radio when Sharon hacked in, especially since he was seen earlier piloting the YF-19 with EVERYTHING turned off
  13. Awesome, more useful new figures from the Chronicle. Must make a note of this 6,000 meter length and correct the M3 next update
  14. Is this another space saving thing, like the cube-shaped watermelons? I mean, bread loaves are already rather square, so where is the savings?
  15. If the Varauta Fz-109 Elgerzorene is any indication, the VF-14 was quite advanced and had performance comparable to the VF-17 Nightmare.
  16. Hmmm. I think I'll choose Vajra Carrier.
  17. It explodes rather well
  18. I'm the first to admit I'm not Macross II expert, but I really don't remember seeing that mecha in the show. If it was, it must have been briefly.
  19. Most stores, including Amazon.com, hold the same policy (not sure about the Japanese website). You're likely only to get three or four issues at maximum per order. Your best bet is to wait until the second issue of the set you're ordering is published and then a month later your order should ship with four issues. For example, if you want issue #9, wait until issue #10's publication date and then order #9, #10 and #11 and #12 in one group. One month after you've ordered, issues #11 and #12 will have been published and the four books will be ready to go. I've been a little impatient, so I've been ordering them three at a time. But it's not that big a deal anyway, since by the time three issues have been published, it's already a month and a half later. So the cost is spread out in such a way as to be much more affordable over time. It's still expensive, but what can we do?
  20. When we say "it" (in reference to the ship) are we referring to the smaller Vajra warships or the BIG Vajra warship that I've called the mothership? I'll note the name and make a change in the next update, as soon as I know what ship we're talking about. We should also include this in the translation thread (even though it's not "technically" Chronicle related). It's just good to have all the stuff in one thread.
  21. When the emphasis on "touch" was posted, I was hoping for Amphlett in fishnet stockings, but I suppose the parody art will have to do
  22. Sulendil Ang Yeah, a designation for each fighter is a good idea. This is just the basic picture I've built so far to give a preview of what I'm working on. I have plans to include scale lines into the background (at 5 meter increments), have a proper title, maybe a border and other stuff. VF5SS Yes, that's true. Does anyone have high resolution profile schematics of the F-14 Tomcat? And please don't link me to the low-resolution pictures found with a Google image search, because they are junk I cannot use.
  23. It looks about right, but like I said, we don't really know what's right at this point, so this is all just guessing.
  24. SchizophrenicMC Thanks. They are in order from shortest to longest. But I'll do several versions so that there is a "chronological" chart organizing the fighters by date in addition to a "length" chart like the one shown above. Vic Mancini Glad you like it. I'm not sure if there's much point adding real world fighters into the chart. The point of adding real world vehicles or objects into a size chart is to give a sense of scale. The F-14 Tomcat (19.1 meters), the F-16 Fighting Falcon (14.8 meters) and the F-22 Raptor (18.9 meters) are all the same size category as the valkyries, so they wouldn't really add scale to the fighter chart. Now, in a Battroid size comparison chart, I agree that objects like a human, a car, or a horse would make ideal scale comparisons. I am working on a Battroid chart, so I should add a few things like that into the chart, like Ozma's 1986 Lancia Delta Integrale
