  1. I've had a BMW 128i for 4 years now. Best car I have ever owned. Bought it new in 2009. No issues whatsoever. Solid engine and it handles like a dream once you take the runcrap tires off and put some good rubber on. Got 46000 miles on it now and trying to decide if I wanna trade in or not.
  2. Welcome! Your best bet is to keep watch for end of year and summer sales at HLJ/Overdrive. They sell out fairly quick when they are new usually, but tend to re-stock and eventually---if you wait long enough--be cheaper by x-mas or the summer months...however..some NEVER get restocked and your screwed. Also check out Nippon-Yasen. Some guys really like them for Valks around here. Some of the best deals to be had are right here in the "For Sale or Trade" section here on MW. Keep a close watch on that as well. Don't do Ebay or Amazon on Yamato Valks..your're gonna get hosed in my opinion. Hope this helps! Ask more questions..all the guys around here are cool and will help you out. Although your wallet will HATE you from now on....
  3. I was feeling particularly crazy one day and cut every single sticker (even all the "No Steps") down before stickering my Cavelier... after seeing the result I wish i had taken the time over the years and done every single Valk that way! Especially the dark colored one's..It's a pain but the result and eyestrain is well worth it!
  4. No it isn't, because those of us who didn't get one can still moan and bitch about how we want them to make a toy of it!!!
  5. It's freaking gorgeous whatever it is, along with the soldier....
  6. I got them from a nice guy on the forums here who sold me his water slide decals, photo etch parts and the glow-in-the-dark stickers that came with his unassembled sdf-1 kit over a year ago. He wasn't going to use them. I paid it forward by giving the glow-in-the-dark stickers to another fellow member
  7. Thanks guys! Gotta love the SDF-1's!! Old or new...they just RULE! (where's my TV version Yamato??? you rat bastar...)...... <_<
  8. Slow Sunday afternoon so I decided to get some of my fav macross toys out out of the cabinet...and play with them! also testing out my new iPad camera!.... Don't know why some of them are sideways....but anyways...enjoy!
  9. This thing looks absolutely AMAZING! soooooo glad I bit the bullit and pre-ordered!
  10. Somewhere on the Internet ....maybe it was YouTube, I saw a guy build a nice spray booth out of high-quality pegboard...that way he had a ton of little holes to hold the parts on the sides and bottom of the booth and spray from almost every direction....and the back part the holes acted as part of the ventilation system.
  11. I always stir my paint as well with toothpicks before mixing. I also stir them as I'm airbrushing if it sits for more than just a few minutes between coats. I find the acrylics separate from the thinner rather quickly. As I live in Texas I deal with a lot of temperature extremes, from very hot to very cold to a lot of humidity, so I just kinda paint when I need to paint and hope for the best! As I have a garage to work out of it's not that bad usually. I've been keeping up with this thread as I need to build a spray booth of my own. I don't like using cardboard boxes as the small hairs from the cardboard get into my paint and cause me a lot of stress!
  12. Thank god...there may be hope after all!
  13. a buddy of mine took his two boys to go see it over the weekend and he said he liked it a bunch and thought it was better than the original.. .I'll give it a Redbox rental later I guess
  14. Great job! I have yet to work up the courage to take my airbrush to a Yamato Valk...
  15. The Stig is part of the greatest TV show ever put on the air....imho...Top Gear. (The original British version).
  16. I agree with this statement 100%, Saw it yesterday and it is a good film. Javier Bar-whatever is a totally creepy bad guy! A little over the top action at the beginning, but after that it slows down and from there till the end I really enjoyed it. Sam Mendes did a good job in the director's chair. ohh....and the old Aston Martin bit was pure badassness! and as for my vote for hottest bond girl....Eva Green allll the way in Casino Royal, followed by Famke Jamesson and the other hot chick in Goldeneye! 100% agree with this list as well. Casino Royale, Goldeneye, Skyfall and Goldfinger are my favorites -- in that order.
