Anyone going to attempt to panel line and sticker up this bird? I'm REALLY trying NOT to want to buy this, and I'm wondering if the panel lines are too shallow to take a wash (The Arcadia YF-19 was horribly painful)

Haven't watched the episode yet, and honestly not sure if I want to...but anyways! ... 1,2 are a must have, 5's a maybe and then maybe the other 2 at a discount...although something about the purple one is kinda making me want it...damn you Bandai

Phuck yeah we do!!! I'm not doing middle of the night pre-order BS for this. I really want one, but I'm to old for that sh*t. I'll get one and a couple of Regults some other way.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
derex3592 replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yesterday, just for grins I undressed Lord Vader again, mainly because I wanted to put his tunic under the belt, which I thinks looks better, AND try the voice thing one more time. Flipped the switch and sure enough this time he talked! I recorded it with my cell phone so I could prove to people it actually does work--sometimes..LOL. So sadly what these means is it's an intermittent issue with either the switch itself or the electronics inside. Whatever, I guess I'll put him in my case and be semi-happy. I don't wanna go through the hassle of sending it back as it does work, sometimes, and there's nothing to say that the replacement would be any better. sorry for the odd grey text... -

And on that note I must add to this discussion that I came home today to try and activate the sound on my Vader for only the second time since I had him out of the box and I got absolutely nothing. I did a search and I have researched other forums and apparently a lot of people are having the same problems, you can reset the switch as many times as you like, I have also reseated the batteries, and it does not work. I guess my choices now or to send it back and get a refund, perhaps another one, or just put it in the display cabinet and deal with it. Not a happy camper right now as a $300 toy should work right when they had over a year to make it right. The additions of the electronics in this particular model are absolutely horribly done. Also there are 15 small batteries ranging in size from like a watch battery to the tiniest batteries I've ever seen in my life that you have to put in this thing to make everything work. I'm an experienced modeler and use to dealing with some very small pieces and they took me over an hour to install. The belt also broke at the clasp the first time I tried to take it off..poor sewing. The on off switches are hidden under three layers of his clothing and impossible to reach without undressing the figure completely. There is also an auto shut off function internally that shuts off the sound after 15 minutes if you don't use it, you then you have to reset the switch which means undressing the figure completely again. WHAT???!!!... . I really wanted to be a fan of this company as it was my first purchase from them, alas that's not the case. Buyer beware. -
Looks like the old 80's Matchbox Robotech battle pod to me....but it's to small

I was counting up my kits for year...I'm at about 10! Let's see... 1:72 Darth Vader Tie 1:200 Bandai Macross Monster 1:72ish (Closer to 1:60 IMHO) Resin Tie Bomber Kit 1:48 Moscato Resin Invid Royal Command Battaloid 1:48 Bandai AT-ST 1:12 Bandai Sandtrooper, Stormtrooper, C3PO, R2D2 and R5D4, and of course the big a** toy Falcon custom conversion ....I'd say that was a pretty good year!

Another 1/12 Bandai kit has been added to the ranks.. normal Stormtrooper. Up next.. First Order Stormtrooper! Also decided to go back and do some more weathering on Mr. Chicken Walker.. he wasn't battle worn enough for me, Along with doing a dark dirt wash and scrub down of my 1:72 Darth Tie. Sorry for the sideways pics!

I feel that if I could find IMAX 2D it would be the best for TFA. The sound in IMAX is worth the price. That being said, I would like to hear one of the new Dolby ATMOS theaters. I'm just not a fan of 3D IMAX -- (except for Gravity---THAT was badass!)

Got my first ever 1/6 Hot Toys figure in yesterday. Mr. Vader himself. Pre ordered EXACLTY one year ago today...it's been a long time coming... and it was worth it!!! The Lightsaber lights up with LED along with the belt pack lights and he has sound inside along with a remote control. The sound is really good. Great catch phrases. Putting all the batts in was a royal pain. It has a total of like 15 tiny watch batteries you have to install. The MOST annoying thing however is the switch to activate the "talking mode" is under neath ALL the garments on the lower back of the figure and shuts off after 15 minutes of no activity and HAS TO BE FLIPPED ON/OFF before he will talk again. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??? More info later. Sorry for the sideways pics. -

I was wondering about that bin of whatever the ashes were as well. Didn't occur to me that is could have been Vader's ashes. It's so quick.
