  1. Tried to watch the first episode of Time after Time. It was borderline at best and then gave up watching and deleted the show after that - NOT going to watch a show with that kind of stupidity.
  2. The first season is excellent. The dubbing is first rate as well. Up to about the 4th or 5th episode of season 2 and the animation is starting to get to me - it is computer done which is OK but somebody decided that everyone should be moving all the time, which in theory is good, but most of the characters seem to be aimlessly rocking back and forth or turning their head from side to side and it kinda looks like bad animatronics. Whenever a character is moving for a reason it looks fine however.
  3. They have it internationally now. They have had it in the US and perhaps Canada for a couple years now.
  4. One of those rumors just doesn't add up. Netflix paid an amount equal to the entire production budget for streaming rights. That makes Netflix INCREDIBLY stupid or the show being made incredibly cheaply. Thought I should check the announcement before posting - Netflix also got all the other Star Trek shows in the deal (only one not mentioned was the animated series). That is an important distinction that was not mentioned. Not that I'm expecting this show to do well, putting on the CBS No Access graveyard channel is a bad idea.
  5. An optimist! Me - I've given up on the books, the comment's about Arya's arc the last two seasons applies to everyone in the last two books. Though I do have a soft spot for Pretty Pig AKA Bacon.
  6. They were handled far better than the books - in that they are short for the most part.
  7. To get ready for the new season I started re-watching the entire show from the start. Only up to episode 4 and loving it. Quite a few things that only come up later in the series are first hinted at in these first few episodes. I really liked one cut away scene where a defender on the wall says that a really cold winter is coming and who will protect the realm - which then cuts away to a shot of the three dragon eggs...
  8. Just started watching AJinn season two on Netflix. First two episodes are holding up the quality of the first season.
  9. Excuses, Excuses. The trailer doesn't scream "Must See Movie" to me. Looks like it will end up a video on demand rental.
  10. > I'm confused, it seems like your saying you agree with him but then say you don't. He is commenting to those who say they are going to effectively pirate the show. I agree with him on that being wrong and bad for getting the show subtitled in English. I do not agree with him that buying it without subtitles helps. Every time I saw a comment of his taking someone to task it was for saying they would pirate the show, not just for not buying it.
  11. Read through them again, the only negative things he has to say are to those who claim they are getting fansubs and not buying anything. Nothing astounding about that. I do not agree with him about buying a non-subtitled disk just to support the franchise but that is a different matter.
  12. As the saying goes, they have to "crap" or get off the pot. Frontier teased a Minmay connection with that locket Birla was holding and Delta with Lady M. It's starting to get as bad as that other show - but animation is actually being produced for this one.
  13. More importantly - which two real life female stars are going to have fan look-a-likes in this version.
  14. I've never had anything close to that kind of vibe. I disagree with him on buying a non-subtitled show but that does not come close to making him an arrogant prick...
  15. Same here but I'll be buying the Star Blazers branded ones when (and if) they come out.
  16. Was (s)he talking about that Andromeda from the US TV show? Our Andromeda is more like a Battleship with stabilizers on it that can fly in space. ALSO - NO SUBS on the Japanese Blu-Ray release according to the Yamato Crew that went to Japan just to watch the movie release. No subtitles of any kind.
  17. They made an announcement way back that international distribution was to be done under the highly respected (snicker) Star Blazers label. What that actually means they have not yet said. After not releasing the last two discs of Yamato 2199 under the SB label I sure hope it doesn't mean no English subs on the Yamato 2202 discs in Japan.
  18. But the 12 minute clip looks a lot like a redone version of the original Yamato 2 opening episode. It would also be strange to have no Yamato for the first 17 or so episodes of SBY 2202 (with Kodai still in the older ship design in that episode). We will know in a few weeks - at least if the footage shown is from the first couple episodes.
  19. It certainly looks like Balun with the squashed oval shape rather than being closer to a sphere. (all planets are actually ovals I'm told but...)
  20. I really liked how the Gatlantis Magna-Flame (*) gun was shown to be stolen from the Gamilons' fighter displacement thingy. Same is possibly true for the Submarines (not yet seen). As for the Wave Motion guns, the Gamilons had managed to develop one on their own so I would expect to see more of them popping up. (*) - I freely use the Yamato and Star Blazers names interchangeably, whenever I can't remember or can't spell the Japanese term...
  21. Almost as good will do as well - there has not been a horror show as good as this in a long time.
  22. Yes it is a fake - made the rounds here a few years ago.
  23. Taken too soon.
