  1. Did Walt Defecate in your corn flakes?
  2. Only took one watch for me to love it, the cockroaches coming out of the bathtube drain to clean it is priceless.
  3. That looks perfect.
  4. Looking online it says he was brought in as the director before any shooting starting and was there for a script rewrite. The movie was rushed however. More scary was the Oliver Stone version I saw mentioned.
  5. Dark Shadows is an underrated gem. Though I have not seen the original, remade that is, Alice in Wonderland the sequel was passable.
  6. You forget AWAY!
  7. Dumbo has its own problem in that regard - I expect the crows are either gone or quite different in this version. The other thing I thought of after a bit is that Dumbo is a very short movie at just over an hour so not only will there almost certainly be changes the movie is going to have to be lengthened to at least 90 minutes to be acceptable today.
  8. I'm a Goofy fanatic but still a sucker for Dumbo. I'll be going to see it.
  9. If that is supposed to be him he is looking mighty good for an 80+ year old guy.
  10. At least he still looks fit for the part. Val Kilmer on the other hand - maybe he works in the base cantina as a short order cook?
  11. No - turning Social Justice into something to be mocked is disgusting, which is exactly what the term SJW tries to do. I guess the SIWs Social Injustice Warriors, just can't handle a changing world.
  12. When a loud portion of that dislike boiled down to calling TLJ a SJW movie, then such people need to hear that they have something wrong with them.
  13. Han - yes he didn't really look like him or sound like him. Lando - HE looked and sounded just like I would expect from a young Lando. The one that does not get enough attention. Chewie - Even though the actor is shorter than Peter Mayhew (and it shows in the MF cockpit scenes) he was spot on. I forgot it was not Peter Mayhew playing him.
  14. Just watched that trailer and though I was not thinking of watching this before I saw the trailer now I KNOW I will not be watching this. Makes Team America look good.
  15. > Also, like I keep saying, stupidity is NOT a defense. I never said it was either, I said it was a different kind of crime. I see this seems to be highly emotional for you for some reason so will leave it at that.
  16. > Like others have said, the more you give away, the mystique wears off and he's just another villain in a cool suit. Just want to point out that even though my post way up there says the more he talks the worse it gets I never thought the character had any mystique of any kind. I didn't find out he was popular for a LONG time and I'm still left scratching my head trying to figure out why. He was just a generic naughty villain.
  17. I give FASA the benefit of the doubt about not knowing TCI did not have rights. They are guilty of not following through with due diligence but not outright theft. Any wargame company at the time (and today) almost certainly skimped a bit on lawyers and keeping proper track of licensing rights of anime designs is something you really need a specialised lawyer to do correctly - even more so at that time. How FASA managed to snag the Star Trek license (well, one of them) would make for interesting reading, not interesting enough for me to look it up mind you.
  18. That was quick! Looks like The Expanse has been saved. http://www.syfy.com/syfywire/the-expanse-officially-picked-up-at-amazon-for-season-4 Also want to say that this week's episode was excellent. I was wondering how they would do the FX shot going through the ring and it was, as I said, excellent.
  19. Never going to work. BF suffers from the "less he says the cooler he is" syndrome.
  20. ANYTHING FASA did on their own. I stopped buying stuff decades ago, sometime in the eighties. I have what I think is second edition (under the BT name, 3rd perhaps if counting Battledroids as an edition). I think there was a FASA original design or two in the original game and the first technical manual may have had more. All were dreadful stuff. Later on I saw the Japanese art for the game, a real shame they didn't (couldn't?) use that in the US version. And to finish off the whole thing - the prices for the game are insane, I was thinking of picking up a copy till I saw how much it was costing now.
  21. > All the stuff they'd stolen from Macross, Dougram, and Crusher Joe became off-limits... the first, and until very recently, only example of Harmony Gold doing another company a solid. I wouldn't say that. the original FASA designs for BT were simply horrid.
  22. I wouldn't get too excited yet. We have to wait and see who gets the rights in 2021 (IIRC). With the pathetic output of HG I can't imagine them wanting to pay to renew the license but stranger things have happened.
