  2. I hope nobody thinks that Kawamori actually designs these toys, he doesn't. All he does is give some input on what things should be changed at various stages of the design, to fit his vision of what the toy should be like. Back in the Yamato days here's what would typically happen: Yamato would contact Kawamori to make an appointment to see him. Typically they may need to wait a few weeks to a month to get an appointment as Kawamori is a busy guy. Once the appointment is set then they would take the toy to show him. Typically, this would be done three times throughout the design phase, first with the CAD drawings and/or resin sculpt, second time with the engineering sample of the toy, third time, with the a final or near final version of the test shot incorporating any changes suggested earlier. Typically, each time Kawamori would look at the toy and suggest that a part needed to be longer/taller/thicker etc, or an angle changed, the color different etc. It's not like Kawamori is on the CAD program himself making changes to the design. 3. I'm restricting myself to the 6" black series figures as well. I really don't know what Hasbro is thinking with the 5 point articulation.......urghhhh. I hope someone makes a decent toy of the new X-wing though. And I want the white version with blue stripes far more than Poe Dameron's version. Graham
  4. As long as they don't copy the Bandai model kit SAP design, as the back part was too thick and chunky and sat too high in Fighter and Gerwalk modes.
  5. It's great. After I received my first one, I immediately bought a second, as I liked it so much.
  6. Arghhh......just show us the bloody Valks already!
  7. Just scored this at a local shop here in Hong Kong (They got it from ComiCon). Actually, I got two, one for me, one for my son Includes a nice booklet with details about the different generations of trooper armour. Graham
  8. I actually think the VF-19P in roy colours looks better than the YF-19 in Roy colours. Graham
  9. I can see them, just as they are pics of a Trannie, I have no interest to see them.........Mwahahaha
  10. frakk No! We get this and other crummy sequels instead of Dredd 2
  11. That would be an insta-buy if Arcadia made it. Somebody should tweet that pic to Mr. K. 20 years ago, I had the old Bandai 1/100 VF-19S/F model kit painted in a very similar Focker color scheme. Graham
  12. Old news, 'Thunderbirds Are Go' has been out for several months already. Great show , despite the lack of any violence and guns The new show is also very respectful of the original series and quite a lot of hommages included to other Gerry Anderson shows as well. Graham
  13. V3 needs wing hardpoints as well and better pilot sculpts. Graham
  14. Either Arcadia are trying to cheap out and cut costs. Or they really don't have enough money to afford the Tampo printing
  15. Cough, cough, this thread needs more shapeways
  16. i've got absolutely nothing against having a racially or internationally diverse cast, as long as the casting stays true to the written source material as far as practical. My myself, I prefer to have movie adaptations of comics or books be as faithful to the source material as possible. So if a comic or book character is black, have him or her portayed by a black actor, if he or she is Chinese, have him/her potrayed by a Chinese actor, if he/she's white have them have them portrayed by a white actor etc. Just my two cents.
  17. Not being racist, but hasn't Johnny Storn AKA The Human Torch always been a white surfer type dude? Just wondering what is the rationale behind the change. Hope it's not just a case of the studio wanting to be more politically correct. And honestly this version of the thing looks like a pile of walking poo. I'm not seeing anything in the trailers that makes me want to see this movie at all. Graham
  18. To be honest, the difficulty of attaching the FAST Packs in fighter mode and the free hanging tab doesn't bother me with the Bandai. As I never attach the FAST packs in fighter mode anyway with the 19, regardless of whether it's the Yamato, Arcadia or Bandai version. I far prefer the look of the YF-19/VF-19 Advance Fighter mode without FAST Packs. I do apply them in battroid mode though. Graham
  19. While I love a good bug hunt, some Valk on Valk action would be great for the new series. Graham
  20. I'd love an armoured VF-11C
  21. VF-19 Advance in low-vis grey = instant buy. YF-29 in low-vis grey, like the pic above = instant buy. VF-2SS with SAP = instant buy. VF-2JA = instant buy. Not much else I want at the moment. That Plaid / Tartan YF-29 was just stupid. The Macross 30 game designers were really not even trying by that point and had seriously run out of ideas for cool color schemes............urghhhhh Graham
  22. I'll PM you, as I don't want to hijack the topic away from the VF-0 toys.
  23. Dunno why, I just can't get excited about the Arcadia Mac Zero toys, even the reactive armor. I think the Arcadia YF-19 turned me off Arcadia in general a bit. The only Arcadia mac Zero toy that I might be able to muster some mild interest for is the cannon fodder VF-0A. Seems Bandai and Evolution have grabbed all my Macross interest recently. Graham
  24. At the moment, there is only about a milimeter of material connecting those tabs to the chest plate and its an obvious point for a stress fracture as is. Whether you handle it roughly or as gente as a newborn, it will be a case of "when" not "if that tab breaks, unless Evolution reinforce it.
