Of course by "non-Valkyrie releases", they could just be referring to Gundam. Graham -
You say that like it's a bad thing. Graham

That was pretty funny and quite well done. Graham

Water side decals. Not as good as Tampo printing would have been, but better than a kick up the ass. Graham

Got mine last night. Pretty cool. Yamato actually put quite a few small decals on the toy. Graham

Got to see and handle the sculpt up close yesterday and was blown alway. It has excellent detail and surprisingly good articulation. A dynamic spread leg stance is indeed possible. I'm really looking forward to this. Graham

I know one reason why the GN-U cost more than Revoltechs. They are significantly larger. I was shown a photo last night of a Revoltech VF-1S standing next to the GN-U YF-19. The GN-U YF-19 is significantly larger than the Revoltech. The top of the VF-1S head (head not head lasers) only comes to about the lower chest of the YF-19. Actually, it looked like the top of the VF-1S's head only came to around the bottom of the YF-19's uni-boob (fighter nose cone). And just to stress, all photos of the GN-Us shown so far are just the rough sculpts. The production versions will have significantly tighter seems and smoother finish. Graham

I also posted this in the Frontier news thread. There's an update of the official site blog about the toys and models: Running it through bablefish we get: Graham

I hope this one is better. I hated the Ang Lee flick. It's right at the top of my list of all time worst movies sharing top place with Battlefield Earth. Graham

All these suggestions are all well and good, but can any of our Japan based members actually help us post our suggestions? SaveRobotech? Renato? Sketchley? Now we probably can't post every suggestion, so we should narrow it down some what. Out of all the suggestions, the ones I like the most are Seraphim (or Seraph) and Katana. Graham

I've been trying to persuade Yamato to do GN-U fighter modes, but no luck so far. I'd buy them. Graham

In ackem's translation of chpater 3, Luca says the following about Klein Klan: - (referring to her change from an adult giant body to a child miclone body). This seems to imply that she changes size quite frequently. I guess she probably goes giant size when she needs to fly her Q-Rau, then spend the rest of the time human size. Perhaps most of the fleet facilities are for human size occupants, so it is more convenient. Graham -

According to MWer Akem's translation of chapter 3 of the Macross Frontier manga, Klein Klan is captain of Pixie squadron. Graham -

It's to early to say what Klein Klan's exact postion is within SMS. It's been stated that she is a captain, but captain of what? At this stage we still know next to nothing about SMS. My guess is that she is the leader for a Flight or Squadron of SMS Q-Raus. Graham -

Although the VF-17 was not that maneuverable an atmospheric fighter mainly due to it's small control surfaces, in space the VF-17 wasn't too far behind the VF-19 and VF-22 in capability. In fact due to the huge number of verniers (30+), it was probabl I can easily see the VF-171 being just as capable as early marks of VF-19 and VF-22, perhaps even more so at no doubt a much cheaper cost. The original BGC OVA is fantastic, one of the best anime ever made IMO. The later TV series is pretty much average. Not terrible, but dosen't really get good IMO. Graham

Heh, haven't been over to rt.com for a couple of years at least. Last time I was there I came across these threads like "who would win in a fight, Son Goku or Superman" and "who would win in a fight Rick hunter in a Veritech or Luke Skywalker in an X-Wing". I backed out of there slowly, making sure to make no sudden moves to alarm the natives (inmates?). BTW, is that GBP by Toynami? I had no idea they made/are planning to make one. Graham

Nice scans, although I thought this month's Newtype has 6 pages of Frontier stuff? So there are still possibly two more pages we haven't seen yet. Interesting, I bet that blue and White VF-25 belongs to Michael. Looks quite silmilar to Max's TV VF-1J scheme. I note that it is different to the blue and white (I say purple and white) color scheme that appeared in the early commercials. It looks like that early scheme was just a placeholder color, as I and others suspected. Good thing too, as it was fugly IMO. So looks like we have at least 4 color variations of the VF-25 for Bandai to make as toys: - 1) Ozuma's grey w/black and yellow trim. 2) Alto's white w/black and red trim. 3) Blue and white (Michael?). 4) Cannon Fodder, tan and white. Plus hopefully Armoured Packs and Super Packs in matching colors! Between Bandai and Yamato, it's gonna be an expensive year! Graham -
Out of all the names suggested so far, I'm still digging "Seraph" or "Seraphim" the most. It goes with the angle wings thing that the VF-25 has going on. Graham

I'm not sure why CM's put that single missile in the rear landing gear bay. As far as I can tell from my various Mospeada and Artmic art books, there shouldn't even be any missiles there. If I'm right the lower legs have four bays as follows: - Outer lower leg, top bay = 4 missiles. Outer lower leg, bottom bay = 4 missiles. Inner lower leg, top bay = 4 missiles. Inner lower leg, bottom bay = rear landing gear only (no missiles). Even the animimation seems top back this up. See the pics below, which show no missiles being fired from the inner lower leg bottom bay, only from the other three leg bays. Graham
