  6. Yeah, in the opening, tight before the shot of the 3 bridge bunnies IIRC. It's really quick though. Blink and you'll miss it. In fact, if another member hadn't mentioned it was there, I probably would have missed it too. As it was, I had to slow the opening down to quarter speed to catch it. Graham
  7. Grabbed the pic with the Konig Monster. Graham
  8. Actually, what the compendium says is: The way I read that is it doesn't definitevely say one way or another whether the VF-25 does or does not have passive (or active) stealth. It just says that Kawamori wanted to move away from the silhouettes (shape) of current real-world fighters that use passive stealth, such as the YF-22/F-22, YF-23, F-35 etc. I think it can be inferred though that passive stealth, e.g. stealth through shaping and RAM is out. However, there is still the possibility that the VF-25 may employ an active stealth system, like on the YF-19/21. At the moment, we just don't know until Kawamori choses to release full specs. Graham
  9. Many VFs have had the holographic HUD ability, displaying info on the inside of the canopy. Ones that have been shown to have it IIRC are VF-1 (DYRL), VF-11B (M+), YF-19 (M+). Graham
  10. Will try to get the last 7 pages done tonight. Sorry, got real busy the last few days. Actually, the next 2 pages are a double spread, so hopefully, somebody can edit them togther. Graham
  11. Interesting. Those pics clearly show 3 hardpoints on the VF-25's wing. Graham
  12. I think it was inevitable that the shorter broadcast verson would suffer in comparison to the longer Deculture version. Many of us have seen the Deculture version multiple time since last December (I've watched it close to 20 times now), so any cuts and changes are going to be very noticable. As others ahave mentioned I also agree that the pacing and editing felt off. But again, I think that this may be beacuse we are too used to the Deculture edition. One area where I think the broadcast version actually improved over the Deculture version is in the extra concert footage of Alto and gang's flight routine. In the Deculture version, it never seemed very clear what they were actually being hired to do. It looks like the TV series is going to follow the manga more closely. The main thing I didn't like about the broadcast version was that they cut the Ghost footage and some of the VF-171 batttle scenes. The Ghost footage, IMO really helped build up the tension and the feel that the enemy is a substantial threat to the fleet. Anyway, I'm not going to judge the series harshly just based on the first episode. I'm going to reserve judgement from the second episode onwards, when we start seeing what is virgin material. Graham
  13. God, I hope not! I hated the football (soccer) playing character in Aquarian. Actually, I hated all the characters in Aquarian, espcially the beast boy who went around on all fours. So far Frontier seems to have likeable characters that I can connect with. Graham

  21. The blue and brown VF-25 in fighter mode showed up in last month's issue of Newtype (April 08 issue). The current issue of NT is May 08. The June issue will be out in about another 8-9 days and it's only the start of April! See attached pic. Graham
  22. A picture in one of last month's magazines, either Newtype or Animage that Kresphy posted did show both a blue VF-25 (Michael's?) in fighter mode and also several brown (Cannon fodder?) VF-25 in fighter mode. Also, in the manga, Michael's VF-25 is shown as having a modified "F" type head, with what I'm guessing is some sort of sniper scope eyepiece, when he uses the long range energy weapon. Graham
  23. I guessed it quite a few pages back. Graham
  24. I think this is the book that was cancelled at the last minute and never published. Disappointed a lot of us at the time. Graham
  25. Chapter 4, page 22. That's all for today. 14 more pages left to scan. Graham
