If that's the way it works out, then your avatar pic says it all...

My Kirishima is DUN! And yes, I did do pane lines... It's a real fun kit, and I highly recommend it!

Ah, yes, the beloved 'Itano Circus...' http://macross.wikia.com/wiki/Itano_Circus https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=583&v=BzXfVgYCxWI As to the co-worker, has he been committed yet..? For clearly he is insane!

Bridge turret of the Kirishima.

Great work on the Harrier. And the VF-31 is coming along great.

There may be some hidden AA guns under covers, maybe under those hatches under the command tower. And from looking at the model pics on HLJ, she does have concealed missile launchers in the bow. They are a little gimmicky. Plus there are the forward facing launch tubes to either side on the bow, above the WMGs.

You could put Robocop into that scene!
-
Sounds, right. The story needs build up and drama before they toss out the 'game-changer!'

Yay!!

They're never truly done are they..? Added the little black fins and started on the base and mounting rod. No clear coat or wash (if I'm doing one) yet.
-
I know right! It's just straight Tamiya X-7

I did the panel lines before painting with a Gundam paint pen. Then I cut the red too much with thinner, so it took a few extra coats to cover. They're still there, but very subtle. If I do more, it'll be a wash to deepen them, but lightly. At this scale, panel lines wouldn't be too stark, so I just might leave it as is. The are slightly more apparent in person.

Decaled... But now the work week is starting again...

Congratulations! On the engagement and the model! That SDF-1 is looking pretty good. So's the ring...
-
I started up another kit, even as the modeling table is groaning under the weight of 'active' projects... This one is the Kirishima, from the Combined Cosmo Fleet 1 set. Pretty quick to go together. I painted while it was still apart to get around the whole masking bit. Made life easier. Here she is just before decals.

Nice camo on that fighter! Looking good. And so far, I'm up to here with this!
-
Some great builds on the page! I laid down paint. Tomorrow I'll put it together and do decals. Then clear gloss and a wash and then flat. Hope to be done in a couple o days!

Love that sequence. I'm of two minds about not knowing what they are saying. On one hand, I don't know what they're saying... On the other, not much spoilage! Definitely be getting some screen caps for my desktop, specially of Kodai's ship. Anyone know what the name of it is? And I'm thinking that Okita's promise to Starsha didn't survive long after his last breath... Something I think all the old crew of the Yamato do not approve of...

I have too many kits going right now. So let's start another!! Bandai's 1/1000 Kirishima. The only things glued at the moment are some bulges and fins. Everything else is press-fit until after paint.
