  1. Butte joins? Either way, it wasn't really a pain. 😁
  2. Thankfully everything is lining up pretty good. A few panel lines are off here and there, but that's no biggie to me. But some parts, like the beaver tail and the join for the lower intake trunking are simple butt joins. Adding tabs helps out. And now the main fuselage pieces are together. Had to do a little bit of seam work, but not very much. It went together very well. Thom
  3. It's Academy's new tool 1/72 F-14A. As mentioned, you have to add your own tabs in some spots but it is a real nice kit.
  4. @pengbuzz May that tape hold out until years end! As for me, I finally got the intake trunking in place, after prepainting it white and the exterior lower surface color and giving it a little dirt with a Promodeller Wash. A little fiddly on the fit as some parts are oddly lacking in locating tabs, but I am liking this kit.
  5. I enjoyed it! A fun ride all around, with a lot that has to do with an exceptional cast and good writing. FX were top-notch. I have to say, this series was good from beginning to end and I can't recall not liking even one episode, so kudos to them for that. Though I am still waiting for the kits for the Jupiters and the vehicles. C'mon model companies! Bring on Season 4!šŸ˜€ Oh well.
  6. @Dobber Not the only one... And of course I'm interested. The trailer looks good, though I was concerned by not seeing Katherine Waterston in it. She's apparently in the movie, but I hope her character has not been shorted. Esp since she had such big roles in the first two, to not be in the first trailer at all is odd.
  7. Yeah, what is it, @MechTech, 2 months by a factor of 3?šŸ˜„
  8. And out of tape and carboard! Doubly impressive!
  9. Well that just teased me.
  10. I think it looks sized pretty right.
  11. Looking great there!
  12. @pengbuzz Same Pengbuzz, Best Pengbuzz!
  13. 😜
  14. They did do those, but they are squashed and deformed they are not even worth it. (For me anyway.)
  15. I did that once, putting it in the 'warehouse' and then shipping later. Ended up paying more for shipping then if I had bought/shipped at the same time.
  16. Just forget you ever did it - until a nice surprise shows up in the mail!
  17. I'd say, taking it on its own with no comparison to the books, it's doing pretty good. The first ep was a bit rough, but IMO it is getting better. The character are engaging and well acted, and FX are holding up well. Those Trollocs are esp good. And I do like how they are displaying the One Power, though I miss the multiple colored aspect of it from the book. If they were streaming the entire season in one go, I would have watched all the way to the end already.
  18. @sqidd Who's defending sexism..? To be clear, if the genders were reversed, I'd still be watching and I'd still be against sexism.
  19. I thought I remembered seeing this a few years ago. Doesn't have the energy and trauma of the written word, but maybe as close as we'll get to the first scene in the book.
  20. @sqidd Opinions will vary. Seeing how I saw very little sexim towards men in it, I would say it is just patriarchy and matriarchy put on end. And considering the history in the story, it is fitting.
  21. Understood, though there is a good in-universe reason for that. I'm going on the assumption that you do not know it, so if that is wrong just ignore this!šŸ˜„
  22. Anyone else watching this one. Saw the first four today and so far I'm liking it. There are a number of changes from the books that have me wondering 'why?' but all in all, it's a good watch. And thankfully, I've seen only one man-butt so far! Awesome!šŸ˜€ Makes me wonder why they even did that scene that way..?
