Costume's not bad, I like how they kept Hal's classic GL logo and not some of the more modern looking versions from the comics. His hair's too poofy for my taste though in that shot. Looks like a GL Mr. Kotter.

Our household really likes Fringe with all the "mystery" and ongoing plot lines (I don't particularly watch it, just like I wasn't a big X-Files fan) and was able to pick them up Season 1 DVD at Best Buy earlier this year for like $15.

There seems to be four different DVD cover types available with English subs. Anyone know if any of these have decent transfers and subtitles?

Be-jeezus and Wow That is an amazing piece. Would love to see that in person, didn't even know they made something that detailed with Macross City included! If that's ever brought to a MW Con, that thing should win first prize for just existing.

I originally started watching the Char's Counterattack movie, what a mistake. I couldn't figure out everyone's background during the film, but the complexity of the plot and characters got me hooked on the franchise. I moved next into the original series' movie trilogy which helped ground me to the main characters of the original timeline. Once there you can follow F-ZeroOne's recommendations since that's how I progressed through the series. I mainly stayed with the UC series since that universe seemed to have the most interesting stories to me. I tried the newer Gundam Seed stuff and couldn't get into it. I've had V-Gundam series sitting on my shelf for a few years so can't comment on that. Just don't watch the Turn-A Gundam 2-dic movie set, waste of a supposedly good series, everything in the shorted movie version of the series was so chopped up I couldn't figure out what the whole plot of the series was about. I guess I'll try and wrangle that full series in the future.

Is this still only including games that you finished? If so, Robotech: Battlecry game, Robotech: Next Generation game (that Mosepeada version), the horrors of bad Robotech games, The Star Trek Voyager FPS for the PC, True Crime: Streets of LA and NY games (buggy!). I'd also include all the FPS and 3rd person James Bond games for the PS2, bought all of them....cheesy, bad, but fun being 007. If it's bad games that I've played but never finsihed, then there's too many to list.

Yes, you got it right. The router I have is Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router, I haven't updated the firmware since it was installed last Summer so I'll check it. THe issue isn't a big deal since the connections to the internet come back up after several minutes one the Toshiba laptop is booted, just strange that I thought it's Atheros network adapter may be the culprit since the Acer didn't cause any issues when it's booted up. THe problem only became significanty when I accidentally turned on the Toshiba when someone was on the HP desktop taking an online test for school and the network interruption when the connectivity cut off caused their online test to lose connection and the entire test became invalidated...this while they were on it for two hours!

Got a wireless network connection question for my fellow MW'rs since I havne't gotten a proper response when I posted on a tech forum. When more than one computer accesses the internet then the connection drops. Recently when one person is on our HP home desktop computer and another is on our Toshiba Satelline Vista laptop (2 yrs old), both internet connections will stop and both computers will need to be rebooted or wait a few minutes for the connection to function again so we can then access the internet again. Same thing happens when I have the Toshiba laptop on and then someone tries to access the internet separately on an Acer Aspire One netbook, both connections will get cut off and both need to be rebooted, only then can both laptops connect to the internet. The desktop and netbook are running XP and the Toshiba is Vista, the router is a Linksys and the cable modem is from Cox. So far there has been no issue if one of the computers are on the net and then I use my iPod Touch's Wifi. So far I've noticed the issue mainly when I turn on the Toshiba and it affects the other computer's connection. So far if I have the HP Desktop and the Acer Aspire netbook on there has been no dropped connection. Any suggestions as to the culprit. Again, I can connect to the internet fine with all the machines, it seems only when the Toshiba is powered on and it searches for the wifi connections that it interrupts both the hard-wired and wifi connections. Is it my Toshiba, my Linksys router?

That's a great looking hanger. I've pretty much given up on making a diorama for my previous valks since I just didn't have the room nor skills to make a goof looking one. For the railings, did you make those from scratch or are you able to buy them from a hobby store?

Are the Frontier character gashapons (the ones that look like the Macross CMS figures) getting harder to come across? The only ones I see for sale these days are the super-deformed character figures. I haven't been able to find a set of them for a good price under $70 on eB like I was able to do for the older CMS sets. Heck I haven't even seen them at Frank & Sons where they usually have character sets for a good price.

Cool reviews, liked the Macross Quarter one. It's nice to see it in a video to see how much space it takes up on a table. Didn't know it comes with those small fighters. Any chance you can place it side by side with the old TV SDF-1 (Japanese or Matchbox version)?

That CMS trading figure looks great. I haven't seen them show up on ebay. How much are they selling for as a set? Also, do the cycles Stick and Lancer on part of the figure collection or are they separate?

Is the sale officially over? Did they announce this in a circular or the web?

I was finally able to watch the entire NGE series and movies a few weeks ago. I was looking forward to watching it seeing as how it has been referred to as one of the great anime series ever created. Watched it in about two days. Initial feelings, "What the heck was that all about!?" Time to re-watch Macross and DYRL to start liking anime again. On the third day I sold the DVD set on eBay. =-P

So far apart from the pilot there had not been one item in the show that was interesting to capture me into waiting for next years episode. Was hoping for a big reveal in the last episode, but so far nothing worthwhile for 3 eps. No hooks= no watching.

The new series wasn't bad at all. The pacing was super fast though with no build-up of the situation at all. It's like the ship arrives on Earth and next thing you know everyone's an ambassador or pals with the Visitors within the first half hour. Looking forward to the whole sleeper cel group and how that plays out.

Hey, what's wrong with School of Rock? I have to watch the end concert every time it shows up on cable.

My god, these set-ups are something to see. Makes me sad to have sold most of my collection recently. If I could have a nice display set-up like some of these would be great. Need room and display case money!

That would make a nice Global figure with some slight paint tweaks. So is the Macross CMS character figure line officially dead with no more form the series or OVAs? Was definitely hoping for a Global figure or Sylvie from MacII.

I stopped buying cels for a while since there just were no interesting ones out there. But a few have been popping up all priced over 50% below what they would have gone for a few years ago I just couldn't pass up. Plus I've pretty much sold off 80% of my toy collection since I just wasn't finding space for them anymore. Thank goodness cels don't need a lot of storage space.
