  1. Say, has anyone ever tried computing which Battroid toy height is more proportional to the 15.48 meters height of the 19 (as stated in Macross Mecha Manual)? I'm curious if the 19 Kai or the YF-19 is more proportional to the mecha specs.
  2. I guess I have to take your advice and wait. I'm being a little obsessive-compulsive when I think of waiting for a newer YF-19 while getting the original 1/60 YF-21 because of the gap in years, but I guess they won't be revising the 21 soon seeing that they made 3 VF-22S units based on that design. I guess I'm just a little concerned that I don't know how long it would take for a new YF-19 to come while I get a YF-21 on display without its partner. I can actually get a cheap second-hand 19 here, but it's the first release one with misaligned gun connection in Fighter mode and everything.
  3. Another reason why I want a 19 is that I have the fast packs just sitting here. They're kinda leftovers after I bought the 19 fast pack/fold booster set and used the fold booster for my VF-22S Max. Furthermore, I'm so in love with the VF-22S that I want to get three variants along with the YF-21, which obviously means that I need a 19 to go with it.
  4. Since I'm a sucker for Fighter mode, I also want a YF-19. I just don't know if Yamato has anything up their sleeves regarding a new YF-19 so I'm trying to see if I should wait.
  5. I tried to remove the two screws on my Kai's ankle and placed them back again. For some reason, the backward movement of the ankle remains loose but the forward is now tighter (to a certain extent). I'm not really sure if it was affected by the fact that I screwed back the front screw before the back screw. I guess that will relieve any future problems should I plan to transform it into Gerwalk (but I doubt I will). It kinda sucks that the ankles have such limitations but it's not a biggie for me since I like mine in fighter mode, and I'll probably be using a stand for Battroid (when I get the Sound Boosters).
  6. Did the Sound Boosters attach to the Fire Valkyrie in fighter mode at any one point in Macross 7? Not really nitpicking, just curious.
  7. Thanks for pointing out, man. Now that I think of it for the second time, the TV ending versions did come out first before the second movie figure. I guess I was too excited about the latter.
  8. Are you sure? Because the one in the final concert outfit from the movie says on the box "2". I'm pretty sure that "1" is the Universal Bunny costume. Aren't you mistaking the Ichiban Kuji figures as SQ too? BTW I'm talking about the mold releases, since I know that the SQ 1 had two other limited variants or so.
  9. thanks, Graham. Good thing they opted to have those tampo printed. I can't believe that the excitement is building up. I should be going for the 19P first before these, but I don't think that would be the case.
  10. @Graham nice, hope you can update us if the lightning decorations and UN Spacy kite logo are tampo or stickers. =D
  11. Nice to see that they will improve on the ankles. I myself had problems posing my kai on Gerwalk because the left ankle was totally loosened after trying to move it forward/backward. Good thing that the 19's Gerwalk isn't really what I find display-worthy and I don't like doing extreme Battroid poses so I don't bother much with those ankles. The thighs could have been not an issue, but I guess we got language barrier and couldn't realize at first the the thigh needs both downward and upward force to separate it from the wing root. Not really sure if I would go for the S or P first before the F. Heck I don't even know where to shoehorn the 17S in between. XD
  12. That will remain to be seen. The Sound Boosters would be easier to save up for so I'm really more keen in saving up for the next 19 variant. Since my Hi-metal is on display with the Sound Boosters, it somewhat gives me that "okay for now" vibe. Anyway I'm still sure to get the Yammie Sound Boosters, though I'm not sure if I would display them attached to the Fire Valk in Battroid or in a separate flying pose. It's just so hard to decide on my part since I really prefer Fighter mode the most, but the Fire Valk just rocks in Battroid too.
  13. nope, I actually got it from their Makati branch which was totally unexpected. I just went there because a toy buyer was going to be late and I decided to take a stroll there while waiting. I would say you would be in for a nice treat with the 19P. This is one already outstanding and I can't wait to see how better the 19P could be (Yamato usually does some minor tweaks, right?) I myself am waiting for the VF-19P. Not sure if I'd be excited to get the sound boosters for this one since I prefer to display it in fighter mode (probably until I get a proper cab that can accomodate a Battroid).
  14. I finally got mine and I was really impressed by it. I love how everything was solid in each mode and the box' size was really practical. It's a good thing I saw it on a local hobby store since I wanted to get it on Amiami's sale price (only I couldn't because of the recent exchange rates). The left ankle on mine gets a little loose on some angles but it's not really a problem in Battroid mode. After all, I don't like making too much outrageous poses with my Valks. I still could get used to posing Gerwalk, though, since I find it to easily lose balance due to the design of the Valk itself. I could make it stand, but I don't know if it can really hold an aggresive A-stance with the nose really pointing down with just a tiny space from the surface. Nonetheless this is definitely my toy of the year. I love the Fire Valkyrie a lot and Yamato did the best to make me a satisfied fanboy.
  15. Has anyone bought the VF-1J Hikaru from the past sale? I'm kinda curious if the shoulders are already fixed. Otherwise I would have to wait for the Gray Visor version to restock.
  16. I definitely love the second SQ Sheryl. Still 50-50 on the first one because of the paint apps on the face.
  17. Those lightning thingies on the front of the Sound Boosters look like stickers. I'm really curious if they will be released as tampo printed already or if Yamato would follow the original photos they released and have them as separate stickers.
  18. It's gonna be bloody on my part. I haven't even got the Fire Valkyrie and the 19P now has the prototype. Woooo-hooooo-hoooooo~
  19. The legs kinda look too chunky underneath the Fighter mode. I hope we got more photos soon. Everything else is perfect. I love the Gerwalk mode and Battroid modes. I won't mind much if the antennae can't split, but I would definitely be mad if Fighter mode won't be looking good in all sides.
  20. I'm afraid that the Sound Boosters would require decals like the lightning stripes and UN Spacy logos.
  21. Thanks. If you look at it from the front, the Blu-Tack can't be seen since the hinge somewhat overlaps them in front view. With that, my Max VF-22 never had the issue of a floppy wing.
  22. My VF-22 Max already had problems with a loose right wing. So far, I only transformed it twice and I had to do a remedy to it since I'm on OC guy. Tightening nor loosening the screws couldn't fix it, so I had to place some Blu-Tack on the gaps beneath the joint to prevent it from moving down.
  23. It seems like it will require some parts swapping. The black chunk on the middle should have a panel covering it. Nonetheless, I'm loving absolutely everything about this. I do hope that no issues would come, considering this is a first-of-its-kind release.
  24. Were there any clear rubber residue left in the part? Or the grip just took off the paint?
