The good thing with VF100 in comparison to Robot Damashii is that they are way more detailed. I was once decided on getting the RD's until I saw the lack of detail in online reviews. But then again the VF100 VF-25 has a mess of parts to deal with so yes the DX fits best. Probably the reason why we don't see any upcoming VF100's that have tons of parts to form.

I think the old crotch system would sometimes open the hatch a bit? I had some of that case on my 1/60 VF-1S Max though I managed to prevent it from happening by having the very top corners of the legs lean on those tiny tabs underneath the fuselage so the hatch doesn't open. Not a fuss if you're going Gerwalk or Fighter mode at all. Nonetheless the GBP is looking good. I think I should get one.

Those opened shoulders with speakers should've been included in the first place...

I posed the legs of my VF-1S Max where the tips of the legs (the vent area) are in contact with those tiny fins under the fuselage, that prevents the swing bar door from opening, and the legs from moving backward

Mine's the 1/48 VF-1J Max. Even before I got into Macross (only got into the franchise around 2008), I already wanted one (really love its color plus it's piloted by the top ace himself) and I'm stuck with a Revoltech version of it. It's also my first perfect transformation VF, my first on the 1/48 line, got it for my birthday and it cost me less than 140 bucks. I love this year so much since this is the year where I started getting Yamato VFs and that 1/48 VF-1J Max has to be the top one.

Kinda nice though I'm not much of a fan of designs where long-barreled guns are only placed halfway on a vehicle. I like the Strike Packs more.

It was disappointing that the gunpod can't even slide open and the Q-Rea's missile pods lacked detail, considering that paint detail is one of Bandai's strongest points as far as action figures go. But yeah I'll probably pick up one of these in time.

Given that I already own a few Yamato Valkyries, I think I'd already pass on these. IMHO Toynami's 1/100 VFs are more better in terms of looks. It'd be a hands down win for Toynami if only they didn't fail with plastic quality and floppiness. Sure Yamato is darn expensive, but at least you get what you pay for.

Heh imho Toynami's 1/100 VFs are still better in terms of proportions. I'd choose Toynami all the way if it ain't for some floppy parts and brittle plastic. I'll probably pass on these and be content with my non-transforming Revoltechs.

Any ideas if the Virgin Road will have a gunpod? Coz I just rechecked my SDFM episodes and it does have one in the show. It even had those 3-cluster missiles in some shots.

Since I just collect Max units, my next one is the TV 1A. Just got the 1S a week ago.

Hey there, I'm just one of you many big Max fans. So far my only targets in transforming VFs are all Max units, though I can buy other character units if it's for action figures (like my Revoltech VF-1J Miria). I only buy when I have extra dough so it's not that many. As of now I only have 2 Toynami 1/100, a Yamato 1/60 VF-1A ver.1 and the Yamato 1/48 VF-1J. Looking forward to getting the 1/60 ver.2 units in time. I'll probably go first with the 1S or 1J then the 1A's.

That VF-22S Max is sold for me.

Gah all this Regult talk makes me wanna get 2-3 more. I have only one, together with my 1J M&M. Might be better to get two more, then 1J Hikaru for a 3 on 3 battle.

Can anyone give me a link to the whatever article says that the VF-19 Kai will be an exclusive? Since the Yamato/Bandai toy release list in this forum says that the VF-19 Kai is an exclusive.

I'd buy Macross 7 Valks! The series might not be the most recommended in the Macross Universe and Basara one of the most insensitive characters ever, but it still rocks for me. I listen to Fire Bomber songs more than any other Macross songs in my pc too.

Wow I didn't know there was a second hinge for the backpack. Anyway so: The stopper is that protrusion in the hinge (yellow rectangle), then the other hinge is just above it (blue rectangle), did I get it right?

I've been reading countless reviews in anticipation for my first 1/48. I've seen a lot of posts saying that to ensure that the BP8 doesn't get broken, don't push way beyond the "stopper". I'm wondering what this "stopper" on the BP8 actually looks like. Can anyone describe it in this photo? Photo is from Wizartar's 1/48 VF-1J video, I hope it's okay for him for me to get a little shot so I can see what part is that "stopper".

Too bad that here in the Philippines, they're pretty scarce and they get sold as much as the VFs do. Nonetheless, here are mine. I only collect Max VFs though (yesh, I'm one of the many Maximilian Jenius fans out there).
