  1. Same on mine. Thought it seems more solid if I snap in the left side first before snapping the right side in. Given it's a last minute addition, It's really acceptable. At least we get Fighter mode to have the SB's in. It's a nice solid connection, but I won't dare try to handle it by the SB's like I do (sometimes) on my VF-1's fast packs. After checking out that photo I just posted, I kind of realized that the Battroid can already look well without the leg covers on the back.
  2. Thanks. I managed to get it out now. It's a bit scary to use the "wings" of the connector to do that, but I guess it won't break unless I use excessive force. Anyone has the Sound Boosters sliding a bit on the Fighter mode attachment? Mine does, but it's just a very, very tiny bit. I already tried fiddling around and I guess that's as solid as it gets.
  3. Okay, I just got Sound Boosters too! They're absolutely magnificent. They totally add a whole new appeal to the Fire Valkyrie in Battroid and it snaps on just right in Fighter. This is the only shot I got of Battroid, then I transformed back into Fighter and attached the Sound Boosters on it (since I'm a Fighter mode junkie). Now I've got a question here to Sound Booster owners. How do you exactly remove the Fighter mode adapter from the Sound Boosters itself? I'm pretty sure the clamp on the back of the Sound Boosters is what I have to move to get it out (since those two smaller tabs underneath are impossible to reach even with nails), but I can't seem to get it out. Is there another way of removing it or am I not just using enough force?
  4. I dunno about licensing and stuff, but if only Yamato got the license to produce the high-end collectibles instead of Bandai... well, you know where I'm going.
  5. I once had thoughts of getting this, but since I love Mac7's mecha more, I'd rather give my money Yamato first. At least the upcoming 19 variants would be surely be the same (if not improved) as the Fire Valkyrie, as opposed to this DX which we don't even know if will go sagging around in 2-3 months time.
  6. Yeah, the ankle really has limited up and down motion. It's annoying since a good ankle up-down motion is what you actually need to balance Gerwalk. When you bend the knees, the weight will make the VF do a nose dive so you have to counter-balance it by pointing the feet down, which will cause the loosening. You can unbend the knees to balance it out without pointing the feet down, but then I don't think that's a very nice Gerwalk stance. To me, a nice Gerwalk stance would require the legs split open to a certain angle and the nose pointing down. I'm fine with the photos I took, though, and I won't care much with not being able to achieve an aggressive stance since it's either Fighter or Battroid for me as far as the 19 is concerned. At least I already got the photos I need to showcase it in all three modes. All that's left is to get the Sound Boosters and reshoot in Fighter and Battroid mode. I guess I should be happy that the Kai doesn't equip the Boosters in Gerwalk otherwise that'd be a bigger headache with the loose ankles.
  7. Some ankle articulation here. You can check my photos of Gerwalk here. That's already when I had the loose ankles, so others might pull off a better A-stance.
  8. I just wanna do a mini survey here. Has anyone who had loosened their Fire Valkyrie ankles had problems with posing in Battroid? By posing, I mean just regular, not-so outrageous poses. And how do you actually repair it? I tried unscrewing and screwing back the two screws on the ankles and that's as far as I got. It did, however, tighten the forward/upward motion of the foot which keeps on making Gerwalk do a nose dive.
  9. I think we'll be having pics when it's almost close to the release date. I do want more photos of the P though.
  10. The thingy with the legs being too high in fighter mode just concerned me since the 1/72 kit never had that look. And seeing that this renewal version was designed by the guy who designed the 1/72 kit, well, you get my point. Somehow, it disturbs me the same way the YF-19's gullet does. But oh well, I guess I'll give time to ponder about that since I'm much more into Yamato's Mac7 stuff. As for the Robot Spirits line, I seem to want to sell the ones in my collection since I don't think I would bother buying another Robot Spirits figure even if it's the armored 25S, even if it's not an exclusive figure. The only thing that makes me keep them is my other collection of smaller scale figures like the Hi-Metal, Revoltech and GNU.
  11. I seem to be a little annoyed by how the Fighter mode's side view of the leg area looks when compared to the line art. Could it be a mistransformation?
  12. I myself want an 11C too, maybe even more than the renewal version of VF-25F. I guess I'm more biased with Yamato (probably thinking that even if I miss out on the renewal VF-25, Yamato would still be making one after 10 or so years). I love Mac7 and I love their mechs too. I still need Gamlin's VF-22S as well. The discounts in HLJ are awesome, I already got M&M 22S units for the price of one.
  13. Well, because I find it more reasonable to have the YF-19 and VF-19 having the same height (even thought smaller than the YF-21) as opposed to having a VF-19 having a different height from the YF-19 and YF-21. Even if it's two different models from two different shows, the YF-19 is where the VF-19 came from and should at least be almost identical in size. This isn't really a big fish to fry for me so I wouldn't bother much. Now, if Yamato would make a YF-19 v.3 that's bigger than the VF-19, that's where I'd probably get headaches.
  14. I would really prefer collecting toys for the fun of owning them instead of having them as investments. I would venture on something else besides toys if I would be buying stuff for reselling value. I think the kind of completist that would pay huge sums of money for a single item is a very rare breed. I have to agree that toys would always improve and the best ones we consider today would be bested by something else in a few years' time. The reason why some people have to be disappointed with Bandai with the new v.2 DX Chogokins is that the v.1 could already have been sporting the v.2's features by the time they were designed. For example, look at the DX's Gerwalk. It could hardly pull off a nice A-stance without dislodging the intakes/hips. That was what, around 2008? But hey, those thigh swivels have already been used by Yamato a few years when they started their 1/48 line.
  15. I guess I wouldn't be minding much if a v.3 YF-19 would be shorter than the 21 in Battroid since I'm much more of a Fighter mode fan.
  16. ^ with that said, I'm now curious how could the VF and YF-19 be having different heights considering their Fighter modes are pretty much identical in length.
  17. Well, Yamato would always have to make something Macross so they'll surely make a new 19. And I hope that when that happens, the Battroid would be the same height as the Fire Valkyrie. I find it weird that they're of different heights considering they're both in 1/60 scale.
  18. Can anyone enlighten me? What's the difference betwen the v.1 and v.2 YF-19? I mean, was there a significant change in the YF-19 to have a v.1 and v.2?
  19. I definitely would. It's 2012 next year and it's the perfect time for Yamato to make one!
  20. Thanks for pointing out, man. I probably missed it since I only got active posting here for like the past week. Thanks again. I guess that seals the deal when it comes to displaying my Fire Valkyrie with the Sound Boosters in Fighter mode.
  21. I just remembered getting a DYRL VF-1A Max (the solo one) by the end of 2010 and it also had the clear canopy with the larger crotch hatch. I hope the VF-1J I saw on a local store here would be totally safe since it has the clear canopy. I can't afford it to have exploding shoulders since I plan to get it for the Armored VF-1J configuration since they don't sell the bundled ones here.
  22. I wish someone could post a screenshot, then. I could hardly remember.
  23. Is it guaranteed that a VF-1J Hikaru with clear canopy has the shoulder fix?
  24. I think they really weren't meant to be attached in Fighter mode.
