  1. Finally have the main components ready of the Queadlunns 1/144 just finished the power suit and working on the pilot.. The 1/72 was done several years ago for size comaprizon
  2. This is the 144 Yellow submarine with the Bandai just finished it after 2 years on the back burner and slow build up
  3. Simply outstanding..This will be the biggest, most perfectly made SDF-1 to date..
  4. It seems the main limbs are movable.. Arms, head and legs.. I like the detail.. I wouldn't want these tiny robots to be transformable. Too fragile to stand a few transformations before it breaks... Can't wait for these to come out.. Hopefully they'll offer other mecha as well..
  5. I like the color choices. well done..

Is that SDF-1 that big..!!?? I hope is made of cardboard andcsome plastic so it can cost under $300 I am so digging those 1/700 mecha..
  7. Took a small detour from Macross and went back to Star wars for a bit.. 1:144 models..
  8. Progress...!! Finally something I can see materializing. Maybe before Christmas...?
  10. I know man I was just reading that.. Exciting news to me...! Let's hope the sculpts and series are well worth it; but I know something like this in 1/72 or 1/60 in the end would cost $1000's... By the way I am already working on the Lancer...
  11. This is where I am so far.. My rendition of 1:144 DYRL Macross mecha, characters and vessels... Already 3 days painting and don't quite remember the hours gluing, puttiyng, sanding, and whatever. I started them in July.. Still in process.. It's going to be a while.. A long while...
  12. Some 1:144 goodness.. My new favorite scale.. Can't wait to see the rest of them.. Do you also have some of the battroids that came in the series?
  13. I have seen only one pictured and painted on the internet. I didn't know it was 1:100 scale. I do like the more aggressive look compared to the 1/144 yellow Sub...
  14. Hmm. I just realized by looking at it it might actually be closer to 1/144.. maybe 120? the VF-2SS is 14mts where the Vf-0 is 18mts. in this picture they are virtually the same height... What's the actual height when built?
  15. Is coming along pretty neat.. Isn't the white a bit too strong in that picture..?
  16. In this massive consumeristic society with all that marketing hype it ain't going to happen...
  17. I also agree these sort of topics have to be pinned if they have links and reference points for newbies and experience builders that can benefit from the information... I would advice with any new endeavor like this to start small... or even big would be fine as long as you are able to live with your creation even if you happen to destroy it in the end. There's no way to acomplish your end goal and acquire experience unless you take the first step even if the result is failure.. keep in mind the time and monetary investment in it. Having 3 scratchbuild and modification projects that has been in the backburner for years I can tell some jobs are not simple... I would add this to the tool lists; Clothes or paper pins/clips to hold parts for glueing or painting. Wires and small metal and plastic tubing of different gauges and strengths. Soft trasparent plastic toy box encasings that I use to make windows and such. Save discarded spruce parts as greebles for future scratchbuilding parts. Glass and plastics jars/containers that can be used for mixing paints and also to safeguard small pieces. Set of different exacto blades. Paper; just regular plain white paper for drawing, scketching and also soft paper towels for drying and such.
  18. Thank you EXO, I greatly appreciate it.. V.
  19. I am looking for a couple in 1/144 scale..
  20. There'a a lot DYRL love laking in general except for the VF's valks and the SDF-1. To me the dark Green/ Blue is more menacing "true to life" shade that would go great in a metal mecha than the almost puke lime version from Toynami.. The ambiguity in the DYRL movie colors is that Regults only shows in space fight for a brief period in a dark background; not even the valks are quite "white" in those scenes.. So the interpretation of colors even in the movie has a pretty wide marging.. Know what I mean..?
  21. Dude..!! that's awesome.. Been looking for those a long time.. Thanks a lot
  22. No problem Exo. I appreciate the gesture...
  23. Where I am so far with my regults. Yes; 5 of them, plus the Glaug.. Preshading and base coat.... But now I am thinking on making it a different shade; more in the realm of the greenish DYRL. I have been looking for bigger and better pictures of this regult I found pictures of a while back on the web.
