The Official Website for the upcoming Macross FB 7 has just opened.
It contains little in the way of new information at this point but keep an eye on it for future updates!
One thing that IS known now however is that it hits cinemas in Japan on October 20 with ticket presales starting August 10!
UPDATE: Yahoo news lists FB7 as being a 90 minute feature (thanks to antibiotictab for the additional info!). Confirmed characters include:
Ozma, Bobby, Sheryl, Ranka, Luka, Michel, Klan Klan, & Canaria.
Characters from Macross 7 have yet to be confirmed.
The feature will be directed by Tetsuro Amino. Valkyrie designs are credited to Shoji Kawamori.

Fellow MWer Gubaba once again is co-host, as ever enlightening us as to the exploits of the Onyanko Club et al, to give us the required understanding of the context surrounding this period in time.

Thanks to Solscud007 for posting and sending in this hilarious interview with Kawamori sharing his insights about creating anime. The interviewer is kinda hokey, but what’s hilarious is when the famous mech designer plays along .
OK, so I’m sure you know the “DYRL” by now!
Episode 5 of “Macross Super Dimension Seminar” aired on Monday night and it featured the second part of “Do You Remember Love”.
It ends with Sheryl once more advertising the newly-released Limited Edition set, but as far as I know it’s sold out everywhere now? Hmm…
Interestingly, one of the scenes they cut from the movie for this broadcast (remember they have to split the whole 115-minute film into two half-hour broadcasts) was the actual ending — they literally fade to black just as Hikaru’s VF-1S is taking aim at Bodolzaa.
Next week’s episodes are “Romanesque” and “Yasashisa Sayonara”.
