Which is a shame, seeing as that makes it far less likely to be seen by younger audiences.

One of the things I don't like about the current trend of super hero movies and series, is to make them so adult as to make impossible for the audience a super hero show (IMO) is geared for, which is kids.

I really doubt this show will go that direction. Kinda tired of a lot of these shows just going from regular ol punching to penile destruction. It’s become so common in shows that it’s almost expected that all they can come up with is a low blow to a dudes manhood. Pretty much never happens to a lady though

It wasn't the old/dirtied Corps uniform. I know VFX is expensive but only 1 shot of Jordan flying off? No giant hand? A simple beam shot? Body shield? Anything?

To be fair, they did say it was going to be a more down to earth detective story a while back. Not sure why they decided to do that with green lantern instead of Batman, but at least it was no surprise. Honestly, I still think Batman would make a better series character than movie character. He doesn’t need a big budget to be cool, he doesn’t have super powers and most of his baddies are just awkward psychopaths. And a good mystery could be done in a season if handled well.

I’m sure that there will be some show of powers here and there, but that will probably be toned down a lot.

I guess there’s a chance that Hal used to do more of the cosmic stuff, but already retired and Guy has taken over that role, but now Hal has found someone he feels is worthy of his ring. John himself might just be starting out small here, but may grow into a bigger character if the gunverse survives
