frothymug Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 "The music track sounds like Hans Zimmerman fell asleep on his organ", lol!
505thAirborne Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Visually it's a great movie, I actually liked the space suit designs but thats about it. The dialog was decent but overall the plot was hollow, especially the final act of the movie.
taksraven Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 "The music track sounds like Hans Zimmerman fell asleep on his organ", lol! Yeah, yeah, haters gonna hate and non-musician reviewers need to get a clue.....
frothymug Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Oh, don't get me wrong; I liked the music. I just lol'ed because it does kind of sound like someone fell asleep on the keyboard.
505thAirborne Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Yeah, yeah, haters gonna hate and non-musician reviewers need to get a clue..... The music in this movie is fantastic, it matches the film & another one of its other strong characteristics.

Gakken85 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Really didn't like this film. Seemed goofy to like... say "Love conquers all" with all that other stuff going on. I'd rather just watch a science documentary.
Duke Togo Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Really didn't like this film. Seemed goofy to like... say "Love conquers all" with all that other stuff going on. I'd rather just watch a science documentary. Pretty much like someone said "Let's make 2001, but with a HEART!" The human element could hardly have been much worse.
Knight26 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 The human element didn't hurt the movie that much, though Hathaways's speech was overdone, and could have been toned down. Though the idea that it was love that brought Coop back to his daughter is all wrong. If you paid attention to the movie you would see that it was the future humans that sent him back to see Murph one last time, as thanks for doing what needed to be done to save the human race.
myk Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Really didn't like this film. Seemed goofy to like... say "Love conquers all" with all that other stuff going on. Oh you mean like Macross?
Duke Togo Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Oh you mean like Macross? Macross 7 does not exist in this dojo.
Gakken85 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) I'd struggle to compare Interstellar with Macross. I don't think Macross says "Love conquers all" so much as "80's pop idols are wroth more than an entire fleet when kicking the crap out of green men." Edited April 6, 2015 by Gakken85
taksraven Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 Got it today. I guess I am one of the few nerds who believes that love has a place in SF.
Knight26 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Got it today. I guess I am one of the few nerds who believes that love has a place in SF. I love this movie, and in it love does conquer all in a way, that is why C. Nolan changed the ending to have Coop see his daughter and Anne Hathaway again,
Duke Togo Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Got it today. I guess I am one of the few nerds who believes that love has a place in SF. Doesn't matter your view on the matter, it was done badly.
Dynaman Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Saw this today and I am *SO* happy I did not see this in the theater. What a stinker.
Knight26 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Saw this today and I am *SO* happy I did not see this in the theater. What a stinker. Go Watch a Michael Bay Movie
Dynaman Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Go Watch a Michael Bay Movie You must not read my other posts... Also - just because a movie tries to be thoughtful and insightful does not mean it succeeds, and sadly this one ended up being much ado about nothing.
spanner Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I really liked Interstellar! slow but good. though some of the time / space mechanics I thought they took to extreme a bit..
McFly!! Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I really liked Interstellar! slow but good. though some of the time / space mechanics I thought they took to extreme a bit.. yeah... i don't really like how circular/recursive it was...
