Knight26 Posted April 3, 2015 Share Posted April 3, 2015 The human element didn't hurt the movie that much, though Hathaways's speech was overdone, and could have been toned down. Though the idea that it was love that brought Coop back to his daughter is all wrong. If you paid attention to the movie you would see that it was the future humans that sent him back to see Murph one last time, as thanks for doing what needed to be done to save the human race. I don't think Macross says "Love conquers all" so much as "80's pop idols are wroth more than an entire fleet when kicking the crap out of green men." I love this movie, and in it love does conquer all in a way, that is why C.
