Mog Posted February 13 Author Posted February 13 Two things: 1) Why am I only now finding out about this Tiny Desk Concert series? A pretty large and diverse set of singers and groups did these. 2) How the hell is El DeBarge still hitting those high notes and falsettos so cleanly after all these years?! Quote
Swann Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) I bet this song was playing when Kei Katsuragi and Tina Henderson (Of Orguss). When they were getting their groove on in the bedroom. The night Athena was made. Before Key was sent to the future. Edited February 13 by Swann Quote

There’s some fun stuff on the tiny desk concert series from small rooms to lil animated fun. You definitely need to check out a few. Also the KEXP live series is really great as well. Lots of amazing bands in a small studio setting. The Zig Zags, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard were introduced to me through their series and I really appreciate seeing bands do smaller things like these once in a while. Quote
Swann Posted February 14 Posted February 14 (edited) So many fond memories. Seeing the film Cat People at the drive in. I was very young. When I saw it. Edited February 14 by Swann Quote

Valkyrie Hunter D Posted February 19 Posted February 19 I wish this band got more attention: I caught a live performance of theirs years ago and they sounded good. Like a dark, 80s synthwave kinda vibe. Quote
