Bandai is still in the game:

Yeeesh, they need to get with it here.  There's still a good number of OT designs they haven't touched (Imperial Shuttle, Tie Bomber), a pile of good stuff from the PT, and a heap of stuff from the "new" canon that they can latch onto.

After the two I mentioned, I would absolutely be down for official E-Wing and Tie Defender kits, and I still want a decent standard N-1, V-19, Clone Wars-era Y-Wing, ARC-170 and any of the Jedi Starfighter designs.

Nice!  Been waiting for that one...

Now to just wait and pray that Amazon doesn't shaft me on this one like it did my Tie Bomber pre-order. <_<

Interesting, what's the difference, if any?  I'm just generally annoyed at whatever caused Amazon to completely yeet my pre-order into the abyss last time.

In other news though, spent a bit of time taking measurements, and after coming up with a fitting sleeve interior, I can build different nose cones for the E-Wing off of it.  I'll probably do one more like the original EU design later, but I wanted to try something a little different to start out.  Kind of reminiscent of a BSG Viper nose, but a little more curved, and with a similar detail to the original X-Wing nosecone.

Will need some intensive sanding, but I'm glad the plastic I used is pretty near one of the stock paint shades used on the ship.

I've seen Armada Editions of other ships in the store and they looked like they were painted lighter or a slightly different color so it might be the same for the TIE Bomber.

Hello, I have quick question: I’m looking for a coffee table book of the Kenner 3.75 Star Wars toy line.

It is a birthday present for a friend who had a lot of these toys in the 80s but lost most of them. They are also not in the toy collecting fandom.

It should contain nice pictures of the figures, vehicles and play sets and maybe some write up on the history of the line.

Is something like this available out there?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

How much are you willing to spend? 😅

If you want to go all-out, this is the gold standard:

Of course, if you're looking for something cheaper (and more readily available):

There are numerous books that cover the same toy line -- many of which feature a much larger array of vintage Star Wars collectibles besides -- and the secondary market is filled with 'em, some going back to the early '90s.

However, if it's a present, you're probably gonna restrict yourself to what's currently available new... 🤔

Thank you. Your recommendations are much appreciated. I think the second book is what I was looking for.

Wrong scale and wrong manufacturer to get excited about. <_<

Though I won't lie, I'd drop a load of cash to get proper 1/48 kits of all of the fighters from Bandai (in their ACTUAL scales this time, please?  Size them to the pilots and filming miniatures, not the stupid gonked-up EU specs.

And please can we have a non-electronic X-Wing kit already?  It was all sorts of the wrong kind of fancy.  I just want a nice kit.  The Fine Molds one was really good, but had a few clunky details that Bandai nailed much better.

I need a Vintage Collection Supervisor Heert in tactical gear to go with my K-2SO...

...and about a hundred other Andor characters we'll probably never see. 😭

Anyway I hope a Fondor Haulcraft gets released in the MGS line.  I'd probably buy a TVC release as well.

Sweet, I knew I picked up two of the vintage normal Ties for a reason!  ^_^  Glad to see them releasing something without the toy features this time.
