Thom Posted Monday at 03:46 PM Posted Monday at 03:46 PM That is nice @electric indigo! Clearing off the PPP filling gaps and cutting out and making new, clear marker lights for the ailerons. Quote
electric indigo Posted Monday at 03:53 PM Posted Monday at 03:53 PM That are some wild seams to clean up 😅 Quote
Papa Rat Posted Monday at 04:15 PM Posted Monday at 04:15 PM @electric indigo really diggin this. Looks great! @Thom yikes. You are putting in some work there. Is it common to have such large gaps on aircraft models? Quote

Halves split horizontally, the most seem work was with the sides of the nose. The wings closed up pretty good. With the 'pontoons' over the wings, they were pretty gappy in real life, esp near the rear, and I won't be doing any sanding, but just using a wet q-tip to hydrate and wipe off excess. All in all, the fit is alright. The one spot that I would work on more before the wings went together would be the wing fences. But I am liking this one. Edited Monday at 07:50 PM by Thom Quote

I was thinking about the larger gaps by the wing area. Anyway, thanks for the info. 👍 Quote

Where the leading edge of the wing meets up with the closer 'pontoon,' which is actually extra fuel and anionic housing? There is a hole there, but that is for a part that has not been added yet. These smaller 1:144 scale Volks kits have plenty of nice detail. They really pop once you hit it with a panel wash. That pearly semi transparent plastic is really nice. I wish it was slightly more transparent so the frame colors would show a little more but I’m still loving it. Ethereal is a great description and I hope I do it justice. I just need to stick the landing. Fingers crossed. 😊 Quote
