RM++ Project:

Character: M Citizen 03A: The People In The Macross: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRcharacter/MCRcharacter.php#SDFM

- Yot-chan getting mentioned as the VIP of Nyan-nyan once more. On top of that, a rough figure for the total number of Nyan-nyan restaurants. Surprisingly, it's lower than one would think.

DeAgostini's Revised Ed. of MC, of course!

The 'VF Masterpieces Seen From Their Development Ancestry (VF-1 series)' sheet [which I just started working on tonight] from a couple of issues back is another sign that the publication has moved greatly toward targeting the hardcore (techie) demographic.

So... who are the "Heroine Gallery Sheets" aimed at?

So... who are the "Heroine Gallery Sheets" aimed at?

People who are, apparently, not buying the magazine, as those sheets have all but disappeared.

Re: #46

This issue has the most awesomenest rendition of a Destroid Monster*, the absolute most retarded sheet ever**, and a questionnaire***.

* yeah, squish Hibiki

** an episode sheet detailing all of the key (or main) mecha and characters that appeared in each episode of SDFM. Just look at the individual episode sheets, gollygoshdarnit already!

*** on the one hand, it gives the impression that Daegostini is running out of ideas of what to do with the extra pages in the remaining issues (especially when combined with the aforementioned most retarded sheet ever), on the other hand, it includes questions asking about interest in a Macross DVD periodical (as in a magazine about episodes with a DVD of those episode included with it for "all 136 episodes" and a Macross Fighter Collection periodical (with 1/100 scale fighter mode VFs included with each issue).

Episode: M 00C: "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross The List Of Mechanic/Character In Each Episode.": http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRepisode/MCRepisode.php#SDFM

- the most retardest sheet

Mechanic: 7 UN 08B: VF-17 Nightmare: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#M7

- some interesting changes, especially the inclusion of D7 material.

History 7 08A: The Battle Of Planet Rax: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRhistory/MCRhistory.php#M7

- It provides a couple of important details that weren't readily apparent in the subs I saw (though that could be because they were lost in translation). Interesting stuff.

Mechanic: Zero UN 05A HWR-00-MkIP Monster (Advance Prototype Model): http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#M0

- some highlights. Most interesting is the hints on the fate of the Destroid Monster series.

Timeline 35A: The Truth Of Seven Years Ago (Plus): http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRtimeline/MCRtimeline.php

- the RMs are a tour-de-force this time. Must reads.

Complete!

Mechanic: All 01A: VF Masterpieces Seen From Their Development Ancestry (VF-1 Series): http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#all

- this sheet is mega! In short, it puts the VFs from the VF-0 to the VF-11 in context with each other. Not to mention including (what little is known) of the VF-X-2, VF-X-3, VF-5, SV-52 and the briefly shown or mentioned VF-1B, VF-1X++, Manufacturing Valkyrie and Patrol Corps. MUST read.

RM++ Project:

Episode: 7 30A: Macross 7 Eps. 30 "The Formal Love Triangle .": http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRepisode/MCRepisode.php#M7

- a lot of stuff on G forces this time... and it begs the question: is Basara's apparent resistance an affect of his manifestation of spiritia?

Episode: M20A: Super Dimensional Fortress Macross Eps. 20 "Paradise Lost": http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRepisode/MCRepisode.php#SDFM

- a bit more on the Zentraadi culture of repair. It comes across like they know how to do it at a certain level, but don't know when they have to do it. The ultimate consumer culture?

Gallery 7: Macross 7 #47: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRgallery/MCRgallery.php#M7

- not much as always...

Mechanic: 7 UN 01A: Macross 7: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRmechanic/MCRmechanic.php#M7

- quite light on detail, though the caption from D7 does provide something noteworthy.

Size Comparison Chart FTW! Well, I guess this chart now officially confirms the Quel-Quallie Theatre Scout Pod is 126.7 meters long excluding the landing struts. It's about twice the size I had originally thought according to this size diagram. I'm also proud that I appear to have accurately guessed the height of the VB-6 Konig Monster in Destroid mode in my own size chart years ago. Go M3! :)

Complete (well all, sans the legalese):

Questionnaire #46: http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRseriesguide/MCRseriesguide.php#SerGui

- some of the questions are ...odd (at least to my Western sensibilities), and there's at least one answer that drew a laugh.

Hope it helps the overseas members in submitting it back to the publisher.

Episode: M21A: Super Dimensional Fortress Macross Eps. 21 "Micro Cosmos": http://sketchleytranslation.host-ed.me/MCRepisode/MCRepisode.php#SDFM

- more inside jokes revealed. One of the topics also highlights how much Shammy was changed in the Macross The First manga.

A slight correction: It's "Shou Balckstone," not "Joe Blackstone."

Thanks!

I'm going to leave the last name as Blackstone as it better conveys the Ishiguro pun, doesn't look like a typo, and is consistent with the [shojiro] Ishibashi/Bridgestone transposition.

Whoops, that was a typo on my part. I meant "Blackstone," not "Balckstone." My point was that it's "Shou," not "joe." Sorry!
