redfinger61
wow!!! sure looks good. One thing about the seat, depending on the type of VF cockpit you are buliding, in DYRL I beleive the seat was designed to have "arms" that swung up from the side of it, manuvering jet for a space ejection perhaps? I know I saw a pic of it once, but I cant find it now. I think the 1/48 Ultimate detail valk has a really good examply of this. big F
Im thinking you`d be able to sell a bunch of the seats on their own. That looks great in that scale.
Ryuji
BTW, anyone have some image of DYRL VF-1 cckpit? I was using this image, but it's from tv serie and is completly different from the movie...
TheLoneWolf
Hey Ryuji, check out Mr. March's excellent website. The bottom right corner of this page pretty much has all the cockpit lineart from DYRL. http://www.un-spacy-qmtdb.com/Macross%20DY...1a-fastpack.htm Here's a sample. Valk009
Wow, once again an impressive work of art by our figure meister! Count me in for one or two
nightmareB4macross
Cockpit basic detailment. I made using 1,2 and 3 mm plastic sheet. While you do some really amazing sculpts, I have to say I don't see the resemblence of Misa. I see Komillia with wider (westernized) eyes. MechTech
You know, I'd sell the cockpit seperately as an option, just an opinion. I would seriously consider buying one. - MT

MechTech
Looks awesome man! Now you just need the fuselage, wings, engines... I'm thinking about buying it (I'll have to talk my wallet into it)! - MT
Ryuji
Thanks for support! About the cost of the kit... I think will be about US$110,00 (shipping included) I made a copy in resin of left side fuselage and as a solid part, use a lot of resin! I was planning to build both sides, but after that, i gived up - the right side will be only a plastic sheet wall. I tried to make a copy in polyester resin to reduce price, but solid part is too heavy!!
valkyrie13
Dios mio! Looks great~ Keep it up. I didn't mean to rush you... just wanted some updates (which is a pure joy to witness).

Ryuji, Can you just core out the fuselage side and just put some pins in to locate it to the side wall of the cockpit? Can you make a Vac-U-form part of the side? That way you can make it as thick or thin as you want.

MechTech
Yeah, Codam23 has a good idea there. It's not hard once you get the tools. - MT
Ryuji
I don't have vacuum tool... An option is try to heat a 3mm plastic sheet over the resin fuselase to get the curve, then reforce with some structure and make a resin copy. The original was an 1mm sheet and just glued to the structure.

miriya
Great work. This is gorgeous! I also like the closed mouth version. I am not a modeller and have never glued or painted a kit before but this is making me want to do so. I am going to have to consider it. Mog
Beautiful work as always, Ryuji!! I guess I'm the weird one here, 'cause I think the open-mouthed one looks more like Misa. Must be something with the eyes on that one....

Must be something with the eyes on that one.... The eyes are exactly the same ... I just made a copy of the head and change the mouth. (I don´t know why, but with closed mouth she reminds me Kazumi Amano from Gunbuster... )
UN Spacy
I think the open mouth version also captures the look of Misa a bit more than the closed version.

Happy New Year to you all! Now for business... Ryuji, when and where do you want me to send the check (or Paypal to be exact)?? I want 2 kits by the way... One to build and paint and the other to hand down to my son when he grows up (he's 2 now by the way..)
