Gunbuster Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 i would love to get a transformer version of this http://robot-fan.net/spot/spot067.html
Hikuro Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 HA! That was hilarious! It was like "STRIKE A POSE!". Very cool none the less, one step closer to a VF-1
baronv Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Is that a real robot, it looks to me that it may bg CGI.
Mr March Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Quite amusing. That's a good trick to work out. It can even walk to, albiet clumsily. Cool stuff!

Sdf-1 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 (edited) I don't know if this is old one for you guys. But here's something very cool for people who don't mind the price... Robofie Edit: Link to volks http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/robofie/products/products.html Edited February 9, 2006 by Sdf-1
howieh Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Robotic engineering keeps getting better. Can't wait to see what's next!
Kin Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Looks nice... would be nicer if he tried to cover the "verhicle" with a displayable chassis.
wolfx Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Looks nice... would be nicer if he tried to cover the "verhicle" with a displayable chassis. 368706[/snapback] But i believe that shot was taken in an annual japanese robotics competition which focuses on bipedal robots. So its main scoring is from balance, and programming logic, not aesthetics.
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I like the fact that because it has wheels on its feet it can kind of skate along the surface rather than step. This is what Eureka 7 toys should be like.

lord_breetai Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 (edited) the impressive thing about it is how sturdy and manuverable it is in Robot mode while still being functional in "vehicle" mode... makes me wonder if transforming mecha might one day actually be possible... yeah right Edited February 12, 2006 by lord_breetai
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 It reminds me a bit of macross zero, where you see the destroid with the wheels on it. Or the Octos. More variable destroids in macross would be cool. No reason why the grounded bots shouldn't be able to roll.
