And I must also take this time, given the topic, to talk about the new gen computer games. I am sh1ttin my pants about half-life 2, doom 3, and stalker -awwwwwww saweet!!. I still play Mechwarrior 4 and Jedi Outcast almost daily. While SOF2 does use Punkbuster to fight against cheaters, there are still lots of ways to cheat and it seems like a lot of people do. I'm hoping Half Life 2 will ship with kick ass mp where it is very hard to cheat. Doom3 might have good mp but so far it just sounds like a lot of camping in shadows. Whats this about specialits beta, sounds interesting. Anyways, i just got a d.o.d. a month ago and can'stop playing it. It may have dated graphics, but its addictive. Before that, it was all wolfestein multiplayer. I can remember a sweet map mod in it called the instagib server. You got to play in this huge @ss map taking place in the vast snow covered alps (tram mp). You could jump hundreds of feet and you carried a mauser, which one shot would blow you into morcels of gut'n'gore. When you spawned in the tram station and walked outside, you see all these nazis and allies floating hundreds of feet in the air, and here and there they pop like red fireworks. I'll probably pick up Half-Life 2 when it comes out as I'm getting a bit bored with Diablo 2 waiting for 1.10 to be released. My characters: ArchVile87 BR14 CR1.6 ArchVile88 BR5 Archvile89 BR3 I think you can figure out which one I use most often SOF2 online is depressingly easy, I joined a server later than everybody else and ended up getting 1st in that game and a couple others, right off the bat. Getting 30 kills is just too easy. Counter-Strike while fun, I get bored quickly cuz I've been playing it since beta 5.2 DoD, I like but I think taht they ruined it in the retail version. As for other shooters, I still play Unreal Tournament (PC), Half-Life (PC), Halo (Xbox), and Aliens vs. Predator 2 (PC). Online, I've been playing UT2K3 and, of course, Q3 is always there. I hate team games. I can't play well with other people. Well, unless I'm killing them. I do wish there was DM in RTCW.
