  1. It's not made for us. Let it go.
  2. The armored DX is better, but there are still visible differences. And that's just on the surface, your own paint application on the model kit would be far more durable than the ones on the DX. The decals do need overcoats though, I admit. Also, DX raspberry boxes. >_>
  3. Hey thanks, my left wing root was getting a little loose, and I pryed open the thigh a little bit, without even breaking the glue seal in front of the intakes. Just remove the screw and slowly lift it open. I stuck in a long screwdriver to reach the root screw inside and got it tightened up like new. Thanks :3
  4. I'd get DXes, if their paint didn't wear out so quickly and have hideous screw holes exposed at every angle. I really don't see the sense in making a playable toy, when you have to handle it like an angel to not take off a chunk of paint with every transformation.
  5. I think firing its mega ultra cannons required holstering. Happened in the anime and was totally awesome. XD I love this figure, don't get me wrong. I was just asking for the same detail to be applied to the VB-6, my favorite amongst all the minis, as was applied to the other minis, like the VF-25s.
  6. How exactly do you dismantle that hip area? It looks like it's glued down.
  7. Yea, I know that. I just think it's hilarious looking. BATTLE DAMAGE!
  8. lol.. the intakes are hueg. And they are so badly carved out from behind, that it looks worse than the upper legs of the YF-19. It doesnt even fit together with the huge ball joints bulging out of it in fighter mode... I never remembered fighter mode to be so boxy before XD To be fair though, they are working at a small scale and trying to build posable revo-joint figures. >_>
  9. Yea I gotta agree, the prototype color and material is pretty awesome. Btw, the VB-6 from the side angle there is practically falling apart. And I realise that the design employs a lot of anime magic, but I would like someone to release a gerwalk-only mode, to cater to the accuracy of the lineart. No transforming, no more magic. I dont even mind if they sacrifice posability for something like that.
  10. The shoulders still aren't raised unfortunately T_T. I guess thats not happening. I like that they at least painted the minis, but how come the VB-6 is just the bland desert yellow? Where are the markings, despite being the largest of the minis? At least paint them to the level of detail that is on the VF-25 Minis.
  11. I will now eagerly and unreasonably anticipate the release of information regarding the completed kit and estimate its retail price to be well within my budget range. And the cycle starts once again :3
  12. I really like that rear angle of the VF-27 there. But the massive intakes in battroid look dumb as hell.
  13. Ugh. I was really willing to put down 500-600 when I started seeing the more recent pics of this thing, but now I realise its just for the hardcore collectors. It's not that I dont love Macross enough, but just think of how many sweet 1/60 or 1/72 fighters you could buy with $2,300. Would you really feel that its worth trading in $2300 of 1/60 fighters to attain a single SDF monolith? I never really felt that the SDF was the main star, but rather nice support in the backdrop, and thus to me, I can't justify such a massive price tag.
  14. So in the trailer, it seems as if the entire crust of the earth was collapsing on itself, being sucked underground. You know, wouldn't be a lot easier for these far fetched act of nature movies to just incorporate a rapid reaction in the Sun that would flash fry everyone on earth and wipe out our atmosphere? Yea. So much simpler.
  15. Oh my god. Im so getting this. But uhh... Why arent the cannons hollowed out?
  16. I'd like to see a X9 released so I could finish off my MacPlus collection. Hell, if they released the Fan Racer, they should definitely release the X9.
  17. Fully transformable... Probably meaning that it is capable of achieving every mode, but not that it doesn't need to swap parts.
  18. I like the new Fast Pack cannons. I've always loved some long-rail cannon weapons, and I have the urge to strip them off this new model and add it to the Armored for some extra firepower.
  19. Complaining about repaints like the YF-19 Double Nuts is one thing... But getting loyal repaints and model adjustments that FIT the canon appearances is entirely another! With this sort of anti-repaint attitude, people who WOULD want some of the repaints (like I want the Ravens theme) wouldn't get them at all. Those who want the repaints will get them, those who don't will know the development of new molds will be funded by those who paid for the repaints. Now bring on some non-canon repaints in digi-camo.
  20. Mech Movie is back. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/29/source-m...sners-tornante/
  21. I dont understand why the clear version has the upper half of the arms still in solid grey. Durability issues? Regardless, there doesnt look to be all that many mechanisms recognizable through the clear plastic anyway. You're not seeing the internals, only the other side of the plane. =/
  22. Wow... What the hell does that have to do with Frontier? What will they come up with next?
  23. I think he does wear a helmet. Look at that screen cap to the right where the canopy is open and Brera and Ranka are in space. I think it's visualized that he does not wear a helmet only in his virtual reality mode where he's in free space.
  24. Personally, I love it when the series have at least one design that is just far out ridiculous. The rifle splitting for the landing gears is a nice unique touch. I want to buy this, but I'm already stocked on model kits. Will have to wait.
