    But my question is, why? Is there something in the trailer that makes it look worthwhile? Did you like the last two films in the series (I only ever saw half of T3 and nothing of the last one)? When you have a film series that seems to have run out of steam after 1991, what makes a new installment appealing? (I'm not trolling, I'm genuinely curious...)

    I saw one that showed the Lucasfilm and Disney logos at the beginning, then showed some red-haired guy singing about how he's never gonna let you go or something like that. Is that the real trailer?

    Well, he was asked SPECIFICALLY about Macross II and why it's not part of the "official setting." He repeated his "everything is canon, nothing is canon" stance and said that included Macross II as much as everything else.

Moreover, every timeline shown at the many 30th anniversary events (and in Macross Ace #001) included Macross II in the main timeline, rather than separating it off into its own (as Macross Chronicle did).

    Bizarre... it looks like the reason Shirobako Ep. 6 got pulled is NOT because of the Ideon parody, but because of the "Waiting for Godot" bit...

    It's progressing, definitely, but we're still in the "prequel" portion. Who knows when it'll get back to the main story...

    Episode 5... Plus Episode 6 Also, there are plenty of shots of various areas around Tokyo (especially Kichijoji) that gave me the warm fuzzies.
