    Question 1, there's probably no good answer. Just artistic license. 2, well... The world was nearly wiped out... I think quite a few survivors had a connection to the SDF-1. But even if he didn't, Minmay was a huge star, so pictures of her should have been pretty easy to come by. 3. Max himself says that Basara is the better pilot of the two. 4. It depends on what type of mission you need it for.

    The Macross Quarter's "arms" are called the ARMD-R and ARMD-L, though, aren't they?

    The same guy said it stood for "New United Nations," but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. And I'm pretty sure it was first mentioned in Chronicle. That's the first place I saw it, at least.

    Yeah, I told him that the SDFN series wasn't the same as the SDF series. He replied that he wanted the time spent talking to me back and called me a moron.

    No, the one Falcon's referring to was definitely a Macross fan. His first attempt at a counter argument was to bring up the SDFN-04 Global, saying that that proved that the SDF-3 and -4 were replicas of the SDF-1.

    Again, and this is partially why I started this thread, I really don't understand why there's so much resistance here, even among RT fans. But yeah, mention it in a Facebook group and it leads to insults and attacks. It's baffling to me. Why do people get so angry about this?

    I dunno about anyone else, but when I bust my butt to translate something or find some new (old) info, the second-most demoralizing thing for me to hear is, "This'll be great for my fanfic!"

    Well, there were several people getting really pissed about this, in a couple of different groups. The one Falcon is referring to was definitely a Macross fan, who's (I think) Japanese American. The guy I think YOU'RE thinking of has at least seen some Macross, but yeah, is primarily a Robotech fan. But the Megaroad-01 is listed in the same pic as the SDF-002...

    Neither is Sky Angels, also because reasons.So we've got two sources claiming that the SDF-3 IS Britai's ship, and two claiming that it ISN'T. And all four are suspect for various reasons. Great.

    And apparently had a bunch of sources proving that Britai's ship WASN'T the SDF-3. None of which he produced, of course.

    Ahem. Oh, and Whitehall pointed out that the reclassification of Britai's ship has been in the Macross Compendium all this time (the old one, not just the Wiki), so, yeah... Nothing new here...EDIT: it's in December, 2010 in the chronology.
