  1. damn those sure look good. sighs if only it were a scale bigger...say 1/60..they would look beautiful beside the 1/60 VF-0 and SV-51
  2. It is a confirmed Custom piece using the 1st ver of SDF-1 from wave, with details added. I dun think wave would go to the trouble of doing up new molds to include the additional details, the movie accurate version is just a repaint in DYRL colors. But i still hope that wave would surprise me though it is very unlikely
  3. shucks, you maybe right, from the looks of it, it seems to be a custom. arggh..i preorder it.
  4. Some pictures which prompted me to preorder this piece this version has more details and is in movie color as compared to ver 1
  5. shucks wet blanket!! All the info that you have G-Man, how can you possibly sleep in peace, knowing thousands of souls out there are wailing "Tell me..Tell me!!" Probably he does sleep in peace, cos he is a sadist! Suspects list 1) 1/60 YF-21 and YF-21/Fps/Fold Booster 2) 1/60 VF-11B (probably year end) 3) 1/60 YF-19 SuperNova or YF-19A 4) 1/60 VF-0D (Single Seater) 5) 1/60 SV-51 CF 6) 1/60 VF-1 (Hopefully)
  6. I think another request not question could be highlighted by Gman to the Yamato representatives, namely: 1) More stringent checks on the design and materials used to avoid another disaster like that of the VF-0S/A 2) More stringent checks and enforcement by that of the QC department and to stop the released of any mass produced products if any potential problems were spotted for e.g. duplicated right hinge joints in SV-51, crooked gunpod in YF-19, broken shoulders in VF-0A/S.
  7. My questions are as follows: 1) 1/60 YF-19 in Super Nova colors 2) 1/60 YF-21, will there be a giftset version that comes with Fps 3) 1/60 VF-11B? 4) Will yamato be doing a scaled down 1/60 VF-1 but incorporating all the features and perfect transformation of 1/48 5) Another version of VF-0S in greyish white as the current version in beige white looks too plasticky? 6) 1/60 VF-0D? Tks

    Graham's Sig

i have a feeling that its a 1/60 VF-1S/A/J, the 1/48 version was 'great' while the former 1/60 version was a joke. ..so saying maybe the new 1/60 is a perfect version
  9. Still looks pretty plasticky in my opinion especially on the pink area, yamato should have choose a darker pink with metallic flakes to match the gold stripes. I kinda doubt the actual product looks as good as those seen in the shots.
  10. Actually i wouldnt care much for the YF-19A color scheme, if M7 and VF-X2 licenses are unclear at the moment, surely yamato can do a super nova blue/white or orange/white in the meantime rite while they sort things out with the licenses.
  11. From what i observed, the shoulder ball joints are grey in the actual product, but in some of the pics posted, they are white?
  12. Nopes not getting them, as much as i love black schemes, black with gold trimmings doesnt do for me. Besides, i wonder how strong are the tampo gold, will they get scrapped off after repeated handling.
  13. yups me too, hopefully this time the duplicated right hinge problem will be resolved. Feel that yamato should have done some marking on the hinges to guide those toopid factory workers, which are the right and left hinges to assemble
  14. Eweww. Boy that last statement sounds like a comeon to G-man
  15. One thing for sure, is that bandai does beautiful tampo printing for its GFF line, there is hardly the need for any stickers/decals. Wish yamato would do the same
  16. I have a gut feeling, that actually the black gold scheme was pre-planned for the 25th Anniversary YF-19 and VF-1S, so that the gold could be subsequently be used on the SV-51 Nora Seriously, im not really buying the color scheme, but if they were to be done in YF-19 Super Nova and VF-1S Minmay Guard or Paris Act, i would surely be over them in a jiffy.
  17. I would love the VF-1 to be redone in 1/60 but with the same details as the 1/48 and limited variants like VF-1S roy/hikaru, VF-1J hikaru/max/millia.
  18. quite a number of us who got the SV-51 locally here have the same right wing unable to close fully, duplicated right hinge instead of a left hinge problem. Was wondering why graham mentioned his does not have a hinge problem. did a check on mine, yes it does have the same right hinge instead of a left hinge What abt you swoosh, you have the same problem?
  19. From what i observe both hinges have recesses at both top and bottom but the difference is that for the top surface for right hinge, the recess extends into the peg ends as well. flipping the right hinge over and shortening one of the peg ends, you are reproducing a left hinge with a recess that extends into peg end. Shaving one of the peg ends is to make clearance for the rotating hinge joint of the wing Hope you guys get what i mean. Im still not too please that after all the checks imposed and delays, we still do not get a QC free product.
  20. Hate to post bad news, but according to one user in toysdaily, his SV-51 had three problems. 1st problem: Both wings have right hinge joint thus making it unable to bend fully 2nd problem: Body locking mechanism is loose 3rd problem: If one plays with the hip joint too much, it will result in a loose leg Sorry if my interpretation is bad cos my chinese aint that good. Maybe swoosh can help translate. In my opinion, the problems listed are minor except for the two right hinge joint on the wings, which is probably a result of the assembly worker sleeping on the job Link: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/viewthread...;extra=page%3D1
  21. Amen to that bro! Lets really hope this would be a first for yamato.
  22. Havent tried the black ones, they are quite heavy but defintely lighter than the booster itself. Busy week for me but im happy cos of the SV-51
  23. Just got mine, fiddle around with it also just now, seems like no QC problems/issues so far (Very good sign). Too tired and exhausted to do a full transformation after a long day's of work. Will wait for graham's video demo as a guide before i transform mine fully. Swoosh, you are very brave man in transforming it w/o looking at manuals. So far all is good except for the boosters and missiles seems abit too heavy for mounting on the wings, other than that, its a beauty to behold! Seems like yamato have done a through R&D on the SV-51, thus minimising the occurence of problems. yups dnd, cant imagine what they are paying for the SV-51 in Hongkong I think its slightly lower than what we pay locally here, which is about USD$150
  24. Yups i agree with you on that, i too check the shoulders after transformation, damn u yamato for making me paranoid over a toy. Ghost on the VF-0A/S in battroid mode doesnt look as nice as when displayed on the fighter, i feel battroid mode only looks good on its own without any attachements. The same cant be applied with DYRL and M+ mechs, they both look much more cooler and menacing with their Fps.
  25. I transform mine two times, currently in fighter mode as i feel thats the best looking mode. Now i wonder would i ever get to transform the SV-51 when it comes or will i leave it in fighter mode as a precaution
