1. Some of them have their English lyrics here: Anime Lyrics (.com)
2. ok, which 'newer' ones the AS or Yamato ones (I believe the Yamatos correct?) 331215 It says Atelier on top of the link's page.
3. Thankfully, he didn't sing He just did the "Space: the final frontier..." intro, and an opera singer sang. 329853 What did the Opera Singer sing? Lyrics or just the melody? Luh-Laa! Lalalalalaaaa! Luh-LAA! Lalalalaaaa! (lalala lala la) Luh-Luh Le-Luh-Le Le Luh-La Le Luh Luuh La LA LAA LAAA LAAAAA LAAAAAAAA! 329867 Just the melody (unless you consider "Luh-Laa! Lalalalalaaaa!..." to be the lyrics ).

5. Cuz, she's one BAD MAMA JAMMA!!! 324752 Yeah, but she doesn't like revolvers. One of the more memorable scenes in the manga is her criticizing Togusa for carrying one. Since we can't see the eyes, I'm trying to figure out where the "too realistic" comments are coming from. Really, it reminds me a lot of the cgi'd opening to SAC (I've always said that that opening makes her look like a barbie doll). Hope they do a Batou figure. 324858 Here's a picture, from the Cool Girls website, of the figure with the eyes visible: For those wondering about the price, HLJ has it for 9500 yen.
6. I think that's Ogai Youko, the seiyuu for Yotchan (the little kid from Minmay's uncle's restaurant).
7. New caption thread! "A brand new life awaits you in the off-world colonies!" But seriously, I checked out the screenshot in Best Hit Series: FB 2012, but unfortunately it around 2"x1", so the caption was even more illegible there.
8. IIRC, it's a missile that penetrates, instead of exploding, and emits a non-lethal sonic attack. It was used in the episode where some baddie brought down Santini (and some runaway/stowaway kid) in his helicopter, so he could be used as bait to capture Airwolf.
9. It appears to be simply an ad for a monthly magazine called (appropriately enough ) "Magazine" ("Magajin")
10. Must be IGN member to view. Please only post non-membership required links. You can`t save it, just watch it. BTW if you trouble just go to GUNTOA. OK. My problem is that I tried to view the QT version, but you need to be a member to see that, so I had to deal with crappy WMP. The trailer's neat and all, but unless that's in-game footage (which I doubt), it's nothing better than what we've already seen from the PS2 with FMV. It's supposed to just be a technical demo rendered in real-time. It's not from an upcoming game.
11. I've looked around the official website before. Their description of the application process is pretty detailed, except it doesn't say anything time-wise Anyway, thanks for your answer, Graham
12. I hope Graham or another MW'er from Hong Kong can answer this question: I'm from Canada but I have a HK Permanent ID Card, and my application period for getting the Smart ID Card replacement is coming up. How long should I expect to wait between showing up for the application/interview and picking up the new card? I've heard from a couple of people that they received their new cards the same day, but this page mentions a 10 day wait. Has anyone here gone throught the replacement process, and how long did it take?
13. The TV shows and mini-series are limited to what's been shown in 2004 on SPACE. That's why there are no shows from The Cartoon Network (I don't think we even get that here in Canada), and the Farscape mini-series isn't nominated (it was just shown here last month).
14. And would make NO money whatsoever. It wouldn't surprise me if they actually lost money on it. If they made a strictly DS9 movie, yeah, it wouldn't do so hot. If they made a crossover though, as promethuem5 suggested, and marketed it as a TNG movie with some stuff from DS9 (even if it wound up being a DS9 movie with some stuff from TNG), it shouldn't do any worse than the last four Trek movies. Granted, $43 million (Nemesis) at the box office isn't all that hot... They probably spent 43 million to advertise nd promote the movie. Almost that much : http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=startrek10.htm Even with ticket prices higher than they were in '89, "Nemesis" still did worse than "The Final Frontier" http://www.boxofficemojo.com/franchises/ch...id=startrek.htm
15. You would probably be limited to mostly movies made during the 80's, when it was easier to get financing for a project not based on an existing property. You can show your friend "Wings of Honneamise" (not "ha-ha" funny, but has a few humorous moments and development of the central character), and "Robot Carnival" (the Meiji period short is funny, and "Presence" has a little character development). Some of the others mentioned "Project A-ko", but IMO half of the humor comes from its parodies of Hokuto no Ken, Macross, Leiji Matsumoto's works, etc.
16. Fourth CD from the bottom: http://macross.anime.net/production/audio/general/index.html
17. He seems to be there only as a gag. In "Document of Metal Gear Solid 2", you can pause the cut scenes and reposition the camera. If you go to where "Vamp" is in that scene, you can see it's just a Vamp texture applied to a flat surface, instead of a regular polygon model. And as I recall, Raiden didn't run him over with a steam roller Speaking of the Philosophers and kidnapped babies, I wonder if Ocelot knows who his parents were.
18. The first paragraph says "'Mospeada' is popular even in China!", so that may have something to do with it.
19. "Mook" is short for "magazine book", due to the size of the pages and color images. The term is used mostly for anime books, sometimes in the title of the books themselves (e.g. http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4...5416303-3437965)
