  1. So it's Byrd of Play now. Clearly both Yamato and HLJ are not to be taken seriously.
  2. Don't think they'll be a SOC Gurren Lagann or Gurren Lagann anything, anytime soon; unless Bandai works something out with Konami. The closest you can come to a SOC is this... http://www.collectiondx.com/node/2470 It has very good reviews but way overpriced. It'd be very interesting to see if the Studio Halfeye can work their Perfect Change, Perfect Combine magic on the Gurren and Lagann.
  3. Man, If I can macronize pollen and dander, I'd kick their arse!
  4. I'm planning to order a spare blue heatshield for my Max 1S as soon as the dyrl 1a comes out.
  5. I hear from some friends that plastic mold release residue... that oily substance for separating plastic from their casting molds, that you find coating your box fresh toy also causes itchiness too. Is that true?
  6. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...t%3D80%26um%3D1 Game color is also freaking cool. This one and the Supernova Blue and Orange are absolutely a no-brainer and instant hit.
  7. Nope. Can you feel my disappointment?
  8. Does any one here suffer from Eczema or Psoriasis? These two are often made worse by dusts accumulated thru collectibles and the stupid love of pets particularly, cats. Temporary solutions, vacuum and dust often, and ship your pets to North Korea and rural China.
  9. OMG the names!!! Bird Pray - Bird of Prey, right? Double Nuts - Um, Double Kick to the Nuts? Please try even harder to get classier names, please!
  10. I'm curious... what is the original source of these YF-19 paint schemes?? Official Macross books or modeling magazine designs approved by the Studio Nue? If these are Yamato's own, I wonder if they can be told to try harder?? I mean for the paint scheme designs as well as the names.
  11. Me no like 1/60s. 1/60s take everything from 1/48s!!!
  12. Am have strong hate for the 1/48s because it haves no YF-19, 21, 11B. Boo! 1/60s is for men with girly, hairless fingers. Ham-fisted men need some luving too. Hrmp!
  13. What is wrong with you????? The memory lapse thing in Macross Plus is a homage to the original SDF, where the Zentrans finally remembered where they came from; I'm sure you already know. But since you put it that way, I kind of agree that same concept that worked for SDF and DYRL, does not work well here. Damn you for defiling my favorite anime of all time. Makurosu Purasu: Oppai, Oboete Imasu Ka?
  14. You know, the link that you posted, http://www.hlj.com/product/SHE022, it's just backordered. As long as the "buy this" button is there, you stand a chance to own one. You just got to click it and wait for HLJ to get it from SHE.
  15. I can close my 1D's canopy okay, although only after I press the canopy down tight. It's a fitting of parts problem.
  16. Yeah like novaflo said, you can try HLJ, as I know some retailers in HK have been known to import these fasteners and the actual SHE resin parts directly from Studio HalfEye, for their customers from time to time. Or you can try to scour for them in any good bolt & fasteners shop. novaflo, I don't have any SHE kits yet, but I plan to get one if I encounter it at a right price. I can appreciate the art but the heart is weak at $400 or so for one.
  17. LEADER! I thought he only mooches in a design firm.
  18. kanedaestes, you can mix some Mr. Hobby Strong Epoxy Putty or Mori Mori Polyester Putty to fill the stripped hole completely, wait for it to dry and drill a new screw hole with a pin vice. It's non messy and works like magic. Your SHE Perfect Change Getter Robo can be as good as new. http://www.hlj.com/product/GNZP-115 http://www.hlj.com/product/GNZP-115 Other strong putty brands can also be used... depending on their accessibility.
  19. Amazing voice artists! Finally get to see Nia and her voice actor in action. Superb Thank!
  20. I took a good look at the backpack of my VF1D (Don't have the VF1S) and found that the socket part of yours that broke has very little or very thin plastic that cup around that flap. The thing is, you're suppose to make a little adjustment - during transformation to fighter - when that hinge part bumps into the clamps underneath that hold the arms, you're suppose to lift the back pack a little so the hinge will fill into the a little gap behind the clamp. But still, I'm shocked to discover so little plastic on a part that is moving, that also has to endure accidental knocks like that.
  21. But how did that happen? I mean, even on the V.2 1/60, that area is pretty much straightforward close back hatch, pull the backpack down and lock to the legs; transforming to fighter mode. Sorry that yours broke though.
  22. For all you know, Yamato could be using these Tamiya weathering kits on all your 1/48 Low-Vises, Roys and Hikarus... They just added matte top coats to seal them in. Really nice work ikhii, will give these makeup kits a try soon!
  23. That is suppose to be the least problematic area in the old 1/60 and the 1/48.
  24. As of now, there has been no updated news on any YF19 reissues; except for the sold out fastpack versions. Note the attachment post from page 16, nothing new until now. Either get the anniversary black version or get the ones from HLJ that may have crooked gunpods.
