  1. I find it interesting how the interest changed a lot since the announcement this year. I recall it was a split of people people saying they didn't want anything to do with a 1/48 line since they already invested heavily in their 1/60 line, and the other set of members saying they'd buy it since it's almost like a the V3 of Perfect Transformation VF-1 or members who just cannot pass up any release of the VF-1. So many of us looking forward to the DX. unless it's just because members who are not interested and no longer participating in the thread. I'm looking forward to this release A LOT. I'm hoping there aren't any 1st release syndrome issues as jenius is predicting. Look at the VF-19 Adv and the YF-19 Full Pack. It went the other way in for those.
  2. It doesn't quite work that way. Before the new GST collection scheme went into effect, Australia buyers could import up to $999 worth of items per shipment tax free. Now all purchases from overseas retailers whose earnings are above a certain threshold, but collect GST from all Australian buyers whose order is below $1000. GST must be collected against the item and the shipping. For sellers that are not collecting GST and reporting their Australian sales to the ATO (Australian Taxation Office) on a quarterly basis are actually at an advantage compared to HLJ, whose prices are instantly 10% more on check out. There aren't many customers who would be ordering upward of $1000 of items in a single shipment. It would be cheaper to split your shipments so they all come under $1000 and you avoid any import tax at customs. Any discount that HLJ is giving (usually the JP sales tax) is negated by the GST. I'm actually shopping much LESS at HLJ now because of this. It's not just HLJ collecting GST. Amiami, CD Japan, YesAsia (to name just a few) are also collecting GST from Australian customers. I don't think Nippon Yasan are though. I'm not sure about Hobby Search. Amazon international sites have outright declined from shipping to Australia now (even if a page says the item is eligible for Australian shipping). They just didn't want to deal with submitting a quarterly tax report for EVERYONE of their international sites (there are so many). Also it drives more traffic to their overly expensive AU site, which has bust a fraction of international items that you can order So yo answer your question. Aussies should not be double charged for GST. If the retailer is cooperating as they have been requested by the ATO and collecting GST on purchases under $1000, then a buyer will either get charged GST upfront from the retailer or will get hit with GST at customs for shipments declared over $1000 - which is how you can avoid import tax if the retailer declares your shipment under $1000.
  3. That God Gundam is a sexy Gundam! I'd also love a Metal Build of that. But Bandai please. No more warm white and cool white on the same unit (like on the MB Strike). I personally did not like that.
  4. This went up for preorder today like a stealthy ninja. Didn't even realise until I got the Bandai email https://p-bandai.jp/item/item-1000127950 Love GMs. Would love to see a RS Jesta.
  5. I'd be down for a set of Hayate and Mirage VF-1EX too! I prefer the paint scheme over the Max and Miria
  6. Speaking of SDFM and DYRL, if they did DX VF-1A brownie would they include 2 heads?
  7. Yep that backpack being too high is an eye sore. Those top side air intakes are pretty massive. What's up with the wings being stuck behind the shoulders in gerwalk (sorry guardian mode)? I do love the detailing though. Funny that the air brake is not painted on the inside of those recesses. Side covers look to be copied from Yamarcadia, which were also not anime accurate. Too bad they didn't opt to design them as they were shown in episode 1/2. But! BEST looking ROBOTECH toy to date. Good on them!

Apparently Amazon JP are not shipping the VF-4 to the US.

Decided not PO this one. At $150 AUD just for the toy at Amiami, after shipping it'll be a little ludicrous for me. Prefer to wait until release date and see if it gets a discount or I can get it through work.
  10. 0083 doesn't get enough love. A GP00 would be amazing too. My true wish is for Metal Build versions but can't be picky when there is so little to choose from.
  11. I'll probably buy all of the accessories so I don't regret not buying them later when prices go crazy.
  12. then they also need to make a 1/8 GGG OYW Amuro to go with the GFFMC RX-78 Origin.

    BANDAI DX YF-19!!

That is awful! That happened to me on eBay too! I bought the MoShow 1:72 Strike from a seller, and got sent a keychain. The seller had perfect feedback before I purchased the item, and after the ordeal his feedback was rock bottom, and his account was deleted, so checking feedback isn't always reliable, as scammers can generate fake feedback pretty easily. Fortunately I got all my money back from PayPal, but the bad thing is - Did PayPal get money back from the scammer... probably not, so they lose in the end.
  14. It also says it's Char Zaku II!!!! WOOOOO! Will go lovely with the RX-78 The Origin I'm definitely preordering this beauty! Need more Char love.

I'm down for 1 to replace my Arcadia VF-4G I sold to @apptt4 This is the VF-4 I actually wanted. Maybe they'll do a DX next time, but judging by the HMR price it'll be an expensive DX... hmmm but still cheaper than Arcadia's offering.
  16. MB Destiny missed leg day. Heine Destiny still on my wishlist. I really love the orange paint scheme. I just need the funds.
  17. They'd also have to include 2 canopies. 1 with Fokker's name and 1 with Hikaru's.
  18. coming on version 2 DX VF-1 Moveable tail fins too?
  19. My first valk was the Yamato 1/60 v1. Had a lot of them and sold them all at least 10 years ago.
  20. Who thinks that Arcadia have lost the Plus license at 1/60 scale? Their teased premium finish 19 is now no where to be seen. Do they even have the 7 license at 1/60 scale any longer? I feel like Arcadia only has SDFM/DYRL and Zero license under their belt at this point. Bandai will compete and license Zero at 1:48 scale, and we'll see a massive DX VF-0 that puts the Arcadia VF-0 to shame. Oh man that would be 1 big plane.
  21. One of the mysteries that the video solved for me was how the head lasers canted outward. Double swivel joints! I never noticed the fully articulated hands have triple jointed fingers! Really glad the gun strap is removable too so it doesn't get all squashed in fighter mode. Backpack didn't look like it needed sliding like the HMR. Swing bar looks less fiddly than the Yamarcadia.
